I can't find a thread for this year's competition, and I'll never be able to get all the answers by myself. Please help! caboodle.nationalbooktokens.com/hiddenbooks/?competition=16

Oh I was looking for a thread as well. I've got 2

MaudTheInvincible · 12/11/2020 11:47

I've got 2 too. The musical crayfish and the three people sitting next to the canal. The rest seem impossible to me Sad

Oh my two are different the coffee shop which is the name of the movie the book is based on and the jewelers which you will face palm when you get it.

JassyRadlett · 12/11/2020 11:57

I’ve only got the musical crustacean. I usually do really well!

Nousernameforme · 12/11/2020 12:00

Do you have a clue for that?
Sir precious jewelers think huge 3 film franchise from back in the early 2000s a character would use this word lots.

JassyRadlett · 12/11/2020 12:03

Ooh!

The musical crayfish doesn’t play an instrument but still makes music, if that helps.

Nousernameforme · 12/11/2020 12:05

Thank you :)

bookworm14 · 12/11/2020 12:07

It’s tough this year! I’ve got 9 so far.

I’ve got the same ones
JassyRadlett · 12/11/2020 12:09

Could I have a hint for the canal?

A friend has said the bookshop is obvious if you say it out loud. I have so far failed but it may help someone else...

bookworm14 · 12/11/2020 12:12

Just search for the name of the canal that runs between London and Birmingham. There’s also a book of that name.

Nousernameforme · 12/11/2020 12:16

The three people have me stumped. Am I being really dense?

BlueEyeshadow · 12/11/2020 12:16

Glad there's a thread! It's hard this year... I've got 6 so far and they've all been quite recent books. Usually there are classics too...

TheFlyingAspidistra · 12/11/2020 12:18

only five so far

TheFlyingAspidistra · 12/11/2020 12:19

the three people - what other words could you use to describe them?

BigCityLife · 12/11/2020 12:20

I was really hoping you would all be just giving away the answers Grin

MaudTheInvincible · 12/11/2020 12:21

Yay! Got the bookshop and the canal sign, thanks for the clues Brew

OP posts:
HotChoc10 · 12/11/2020 12:23

6 so far! Baffled by finniculi finicula. Something to do with time? And coffee? And mountains?

Nousernameforme · 12/11/2020 12:23

Who is the question mark supposed to be you have mum sister and ?

JassyRadlett · 12/11/2020 12:24

I was trying to be WAY too clever with that one.
KiposWonderbeasts · 12/11/2020 12:24

I've only got the three people sitting at the canal and the singing crustacean

Nousernameforme · 12/11/2020 12:25

Whats the telescope one supposed to be. It's just a telescope

bookworm14 · 12/11/2020 12:27

How has everyone got the singing crustacean?? I don’t have a clue what it is. Is it a well known book?

JassyRadlett · 12/11/2020 12:28

@bookworm14 Well known and quite recent.

abcyz · 12/11/2020 12:28
