How many times a day do you put your dishwasher on?

Just being nosey really as I've only just brought my very first dishwasher (no idea why i waited so long!).

Do you wait until it is totally full? How many times a day do you use it? Do you use the short or long circles?

Once a day, last thing before going to bed, so it’s all clean for the morning

1-2 times and on a normal cycle. Family of 6 plus dogs.

Once a day. We recently had our drains unblocked and the drain man told me not to put it on at night as you really want to be flushing the pipes with some hot water as soon as the dishwasher has finished to get rid of any fat/food

Family of 6- once a day, would drive me mad to have it on twice. Put it on when the kids go to be, totally full up but I think there's a half load thingy! Enjoy op, we went 3 years without one and it was soul destroying (literally!)

We wait until it's full, once or twice a day usually depending on what we're cooking.

On days with lots of cooking and baking, or at Christmas it's been known to be three times

Once, at night. Though I'm looking at turnedouttoes advice and rethinking the night run!

Usually once a day before bed, occasionally twice eg if we’ve been cooking a big roast or had a lot of guests.
It sometimes goes on not full but when we are out of glasses too!

We're a family of 4 adults and a baby at the mo, we run ours every other day. But we only use it for plates mugs etc, all pans and trays get washed by hand.

Sometimes every 2 to 3 days, sometimes every day. When it's full and I'm an expert at utilising every bit of space! We have cheaper electricity at night so would never run it during the day.

Once usually, unless we have people round (so not at the moment!) Though when everyone was at home all the time and eating at home all the time sometimes twice.

Generally every evening before we go to bed. Sometimes twice if we've cooked something like a roast that used extra pots and pans.

Once a day during the week (only DH here during the day). Probably 3 times total over the weekend.

I have just recently had the chat a bit of a tantrum with people about not leaving stuff on the top above the dishwasher.... and by people I mean dh and ds2...so my kitchen is lovely atm with everyone on their best behaviour.

Used to be once but sometimes twice now, due to WFH and DS being looked after at home by grandparents, when we're out at work

I use it usually once a day depending on load with a dish draw.

They are so handy it keeps the bench tidy as I stack as dishes accumulate.

Probably slightly less than daily, maybe 3 or 4 times over Mon-Fri then probably both days at the weekend.
Occasionally it will go on twice in a day - weekends or holidays when we are all here and maybe baking as well as meals, or a roast etc.

Once a day during the week, twice a day at weekends. More if baking or doing other fancy stuff. Three or four people in the household.

There is only 2 of us but we have been putting it on straight after our evening meal on a 30 minute wash because if we wait until its full (usually 2 days) we have to use the long (2.5 hours) wash to get rid on the dried on stains.

I wonder which is better!

...and yes, loving it. Its mad that I've never had one!
