What's on the menu for dinner tonight?

I haven't seen one of these threads in a while.

So. I was going to make a casserole, it's a much loved JO recipe I have adapted over the last few years. I was planning on serving it with garlic mash. Ultimate comfort food.

However. It's been a long week, and I couldn't face the cooking tonight, so instead I'm chucking a couple of large meat feast frozen pizza's in the oven. I'll cover mine with both mayo and dried chillies. Possibly put some reggae hot sauce on the side to. Might add some lettuce for health reasons Smile

Oh. And wine.

What are you having?

Nando's and wine. Not had a quality movie night with dc in ages so we've ordered loads as a treat and hired the witches.

Mimilamore · 06/11/2020 18:49

Jacket potatoes, chipolatas, beans and cheese.

itssquidstella · 06/11/2020 18:50

I've made a quiche! Leek, mushroom and gruyère.

Leftovers! But they are the nice remains of home made suet dumplings and beef casserole, with lentils, barley, carrots, parsnips, onion, beef stock and Brussels sprouts. I made a big batch two days ago as as cold weather comfort food - which is probably why we’ve had glorious warm sunshine ever since!

Roast chicken and rice

BoogleMcGroogle · 06/11/2020 18:51

Ooh! That quiche looks good.

ShakespearesSisters · 06/11/2020 18:52

Cottage pie. It was yummy, both children refusing to eat it though. Apparently they don't like mash, beef, carrots and peas anymore.

Sexnotgender · 06/11/2020 18:52

Friday night my teenager cooks, trying to prepare her for when she goes to university as she can competently cook about 3 things.

So tonight was lentil bolognese.

Specialgodson · 06/11/2020 18:52

I made a chicken curry with rice with raw carrot sticks and red pepper on the start and stewed blackberry and apple. Trying to improve our veg intake!

rumandbiscuits · 06/11/2020 18:53

Steak and chips

IsAnybodyListening · 06/11/2020 18:55

CosyQueen Same! Casserole tomorrow. Hopefully I can be bothered to cook it then! Smile

Changethetoner Odd you should mention chicken soup as this came up in convo a few days back with DP. Whenever I have soup, I always cut buttered bread up as a base in the bowl, then put the soup on top. He has nearly left me over it several times.

Salmon and dauphoinoise (sp) potatoes, not as great as it sounds...potatoes are pre done and vacuum packed, the salmon will be unceremoniously chucked on baking tray and thrown in oven

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 06/11/2020 18:58

Papa Johns pizza

Plump82 · 06/11/2020 18:58

Linda McCartney crispy "duck" pancakes and spicy veg bao buns.

IsAnybodyListening · 06/11/2020 19:00

itssquidstella That looks amazing! I have never attempted to make a Quiche before, but I really want to give it a go.

Chilli made with turkey mince as OH doesn't really like red meat. Served with rice and sour cream
