What's on the menu for dinner tonight?

I haven't seen one of these threads in a while.

So. I was going to make a casserole, it's a much loved JO recipe I have adapted over the last few years. I was planning on serving it with garlic mash. Ultimate comfort food.

However. It's been a long week, and I couldn't face the cooking tonight, so instead I'm chucking a couple of large meat feast frozen pizza's in the oven. I'll cover mine with both mayo and dried chillies. Possibly put some reggae hot sauce on the side to. Might add some lettuce for health reasons Smile

Oh. And wine.

What are you having?

I had scampi and chips and DD had chicken nuggets and chips from the chippy van that comes to our village on a Friday. DD washed hers down with copious amounts of gravy.

She even asked for gravy with chicken korma the other night!Shock

@CinnamonSweet73 that is one of my favourite recipes.

We had seabass on a heap of puy lentils cooked with smoked bacon & tomatoes.

And lots of wine.

Friday is pizza night here, DD made a 'funny face' pizza and added salami, peppers and kale to hers. I had a Co-Op white mushroom pizza. We had kale chips on the side, and I had a margarita whilst it was cooking. Delish.

Nigella's curry in a hurry. Quick and easy and really yummy!

Pizza night here too. One BBQ chicken, one pulled pork and one pepperoni - sadly not homemade (Waitrose).

ChimpyChops · 06/11/2020 20:32

Chinese!

CinnamonSweet73 · 06/11/2020 21:43

@poshme it's fab isn't it! The seabass with bacon and lentils sounds amazing!

PurplePinapple · 06/11/2020 21:43

We had McDonald's..

fitflopqueen · 06/11/2020 21:55

We had salmon fillets baked with peppers, tomatoes & onion, broccoli and cous cous. Got my baking mojo back so Raspberry Bakewell pudding for dessert.

poshme · 06/11/2020 22:03

@CinnamonSweet73 not really very amazing. Very cheat-y.

Tesco seabass (comes with lemon & pepper butter) pan fry and chuck the butter on the top.
Just before that:
Puy lentils in a packet (merchant gourmet). Chop half an onion- in oil with a slice of chopped smoked bacon. Add half a tin of chopped tomato. Throw in the puy lentil packet.

Put on plate.

(If you're doing well, your DH won't have a side of curly fries that he cooked in the oven in case it wasn't 'filling enough')

CinnamonSweet73 · 06/11/2020 22:21

Haha @poshme my DH won't touch lentils or beans so he'd definitely be at the curly fries!! I'd love it though and I love even more a super easy recipe, thanks!! Smile

Salmon mash and green grand with a dill sauce. Was lush.

How can you make a casserole after work?

JayAlfredPrufrock · 06/11/2020 22:26

Beans. Green beans 🙄

We had 'fancy' asda sausages, groceries.asda.com/product/sausages/asda-extra-special-6-pork-welsh-cheddar-smoked-bacon-sausages/910001308863

Everyone else liked them, a no for me. My blood pressure was right down though and I didn't fancy eating so maybe that.

These are awesome though,
