You are in a room alone...

You are to be stuck in a room for a few hours. You can choose to spend this time with either a baby or a puppy. What would you choose?

If you can argue your case well enough, then I may consider letting you spend it with another type of creature.

I chose puppy.

I would quite like a baby tapir though, if you are taking requests.

Guineapigbridge · 03/11/2020 00:09

Puppy, 100%

I like babies but I don't like them for long.

BullBailey · 03/11/2020 00:12

Whose baby?

If it’s none then of course, if it’s anyone else’s then a puppy every time.

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 03/11/2020 00:19

@Stompythedinosaur

Puppy, clearly.

I am literally amazing that anyone would pick a baby.

I mean, I loved my babies, but they were hard work to care for. A puppy would be far more pleasant!

Have you ever had a puppy?
OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 03/11/2020 00:19

Puppy, every time. Bring them all on, bulgy eyes, bitey, whatever 😍

Babies? I’d chew my way through the walls to get out tbh Grin

happymummy12345 · 03/11/2020 00:19

Baby 100%. I love them

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 03/11/2020 00:20

Baby

But you can fuck off if you think you're getting it back.

OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 03/11/2020 00:24

@Bluntness100

Ok if I can’t have my baby I’ll take a puppy. Any puppy shall do. And if anyone doesn’t want their puppy I’ll take theirs too. Lots of puppies please.
I’ve never agreed with you more 🐶❤️🐶
Gingaaarghpussy · 03/11/2020 02:16

A book and a baby sloth

Tillygetsit · 03/11/2020 02:30

I have 3 dcs and a 10 week old puppy. The puppy only likes cuddles with my other dogs. He is a chronic piddler and obsessed with my phone.
He's also just whined to go out, sat outside for a bit doing nothing then demanded a treat. Didnt get one so had a tantrum.
But when I look at his face I'd choose him.

pollywollydoodler · 03/11/2020 03:40

Do I have to keep them alive?

GlowingOrb · 03/11/2020 04:21

The puppy. I am not a dog person and suspect I am allergic to dogs, but my responsibility would be much lower with a puppy than a baby.

pralineandketchup · 03/11/2020 04:27

As op didn't specify details I'm going with a toy puppy which can sit quietly while I enjoy a good book,

WouldBeGood · 03/11/2020 04:45

Baby. Good excuse to do nothing else but lie about looking after it. But I want one that likes snuggling.

I love dogs but puppies are a total pain in the arse. That’s why they have to look so cute.

NoSquirrels · 03/11/2020 06:11

A book and a baby sloth
Genius. Please may I change my baby panda for a baby sloth?
JollyAndBright · 03/11/2020 06:55

It depends if the baby is just a random baby of it’s it’s one you want to see.

Random baby - no thanks, I can’t stand babies.

One (or hopefully both) of my sisters infant twins - yes please, I’m obsessed with them!

ChristmasinJune · 03/11/2020 07:16

Can I specify the type of baby?
Smiley, non-crying, non-crawling baby who sleeps a lot would be my choice.

If not then I'd settle for a pair of small, playful kittens who will entertain each other (and me) then fall asleep on my knee.

Jeremyironseverything · 03/11/2020 08:24

@pollywollydoodler

Do I have to keep them alive?
Er yes, I think you'd have to - unless you plan on eating it, like one poster I shall not name 😠

The baby sloth is clever.

Baby but only my baby.
I'm not a dog person so it would wind me up! Grin

All these people trying to find a way round the terms and conditions.

Baby anything but not a human one!

You do realise a puppy is a poor substitute for a kitten, don't you???!!

Sideorderofchips · 04/11/2020 08:39

Kitten

lazylinguist · 04/11/2020 08:42

Baby only if it were my own baby. Otherwise definitely puppy.

Roomforanotherraspberry · 04/11/2020 08:54

Can I have baby Yoda please based on cuteness!

darumafan · 04/11/2020 09:13

Kitten, book and a glass of red wine. Would it be too greedy to ask for a roaring open fire and a comfy armchair?
