You are in a room alone...

You are to be stuck in a room for a few hours. You can choose to spend this time with either a baby or a puppy. What would you choose?

If you can argue your case well enough, then I may consider letting you spend it with another type of creature.

I chose puppy.

Can I have a kitten instead? Ands some kitcats, the chocolate for me, the foil for the kitten.

I love te way they get into things and then half way to where they are going they fall asleep.

I'd love an hour with a puppy. My wonderful dog died earlier this year, and I'd love to relive the joy of his puppyhood.

AgentProvocateur · 02/11/2020 09:20

Book and a kitten for me please.

underneaththeash · 02/11/2020 09:26

Babies stay still. They don’t bite or poo on the floor.
We have a puppy, he’s cute - but quite annoying!

Jeremyironseverything · 02/11/2020 10:09

But puppies are sooo much cuter than babies...

Babies stay still.

Which is why being locked in a room with one wouldn't be very interesting! Grin

I’ll go with a baby as long as it’s a newborn so I can just snuggle it while it sleeps on me. I have 2 toddlers and I miss the stage when they only have about 3 needs and can’t talk back!

bloodyhairy · 02/11/2020 10:26

Puppy. Unless the baby was sleeping for the whole time, and I could read a book Grin

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 02/11/2020 10:27

Baby!!!! Puppy’s need walking right and tear up stuff- now had you said toddler the answer may have been different

FreezerBird · 02/11/2020 10:32

Baby. I am excellent at getting them to sleep so would hopefully have some cute playtime and then sleep.

Puppies are a closed book to me and I'm not particularly fond of them.

Enko · 02/11/2020 11:09

Baby

CigarsofthePharoahs · 02/11/2020 11:14

Baby. I can do babies. Babies are very cute and make little snuffling noises and have tiny socks and cute little toes.
I don't like dogs and puppies poop and wee everywhere.
Now if a kitten was an option...

Spied · 02/11/2020 11:15

Baby.
No jumping around, biting, scratching, damaging sofa and coffee table, climbing on things and you, randomly attacking you, standing staring at you from the corner waiting to pounce if you move, pooing and weeing in the corner, whining, scratching the door, hair all over the sofa and your clothes....
Baby. Definitely.

MrsJBaptiste · 02/11/2020 11:15

Baby.

I am not an animal lover.

SleepingStandingUp · 02/11/2020 11:15

I spend lots of time in a room alone with two babies, you're offering me nothing new. I'll take the puppy and a hot drink please

LoseLooseLucy · 02/11/2020 11:23

Aww my youngest is almost six now and my dog is three...I’d probably choose the baby.

firedragon101 · 02/11/2020 11:43

Not if they've got bulging eyes 👀 though, right?Grin

Can I have a grizzly bear cub please?

Shinyletsbebadguys · 02/11/2020 11:46

I have had two babies who I love with all my heart and would sacrifice myself in a heartbeat for.

The puppy please. Definitely the puppy.

Shinyletsbebadguys · 02/11/2020 11:46

Babies are less fuzzy.

Audreyseyebrows · 02/11/2020 11:46

Baby. It’s toilet habits are mostly contained.

SleepingStandingUp · 02/11/2020 12:51

@Shinyletsbebadguys

Babies are less fuzzy.
is that a vote for or against?
Nicolastuffedone · 02/11/2020 12:52

Puppy!!!

SlopesOff · 02/11/2020 13:24

I would prefer a kitten.
However if I really had to choose it would be a puppy, only one end to clean up whereas with a baby you often get vomit plus nappies.

MuchTooTired · 02/11/2020 13:38

Is the baby one of those ones that sleep, or is it a non stop cryer? I’m leaning more towards baby, they’re less work than puppies!

yetanothernamitynamechange · 02/11/2020 13:41

DO you have milk, nappies/puppy food etc and everything needed to care for them? I am getting stressed at the thought of being locked in a room with a baby thats hungry crying and not being able to feed them :( (actually started bobbing about in my chair as if holding said baby).

On balance a puppy just because babies are too much responsibility. I am still completely baffled that they just let me walk out of hospital with my own tiny new born baby when I didnt have any qualifications at all (said baby now much bigger and fine)
