It used to be every Friday night on here - without fail. What the heck happened?

I've got a bottle of red open, and my DH is going to be late, picking up DS on his way back, so no one but me and the dog here.

His conversational skills are lacking...

I’m one of those dreadful people who has a glass of wine every night and others on MN will tell me I have a drink problem. That said I had a whole tin of soup to my self at lunch time so I’m clearly a glutton.

Well, I dont give a flying fuck.
I am currently drinking a Black Russian and eating chocolate
Its the end of a super stressful week. Selling our house, selling dfs flat, sorting out dfs sheltered housing, providing proof of identities for fecking everone.
I deserve this.
I also now have two houses full of shite to clear in the next few weeks.
I intend tomget pleasently pissed and sick with chocolate tonight😁

It is Friday night after all.

I worked 2 x 12 hour shifts and then 8 hours yesterday - so was really keen on a glass of wine tonight. So glad I don't have to be in work tomorrow and that my DS will be home tonight (age 21) - but still.

Oh lord @Ratched, that sounds hugely stressful.
I’m a teacher so I have spent much of the week sitting on the sofa eating biscuits. After 7 stress filled weeks I wasn’t doing anything.

I do. IIRC it was back in the good old days when you could post normally without worrying who would be offended/take things the wrong way and this place was a bit of a laugh.

We I’ve just had a glass of red to tidy up the ‘nearly empty’ bottle.
Now to cook burger and chips which has been our Friday night dinner for the last 20 years. (The rest of the week I cook all healthy stuff from scratch but we both look forward to burger and chips all week).

OMG - M and S cereals are lush - forget the burger.....

Black Russian - vodka, Tia Maria and coke! Very retro drink which has been resurrected as an Espresso Martini

I've just made myself an Old Fashioned, but with a segment from an easy peeler instead of an actual orange slice, because that's what we have in. Settling down to watch The Mandalorian, but everyone except me has wandered off somewhere in the house.

I can’t wait for a wine. But I’m abroad and it’s only 3pm, so I have a bit to go...

But Espresso Martinis - YESSSSSS - they are very naice indeed . Could do with one right now - ice cold. To go with the M and S cereal.

Big glass of red going down a treat here. About to make a curry. Bloody love Friday nights. The house always feels nicely cocooned. The wine helps!

I’m on my 4th glass of Pinot, curry is on order.

DH is in work mode still so is sitting with wine doing emails - I want to chat and be silly 😛
