I'm 5'6" and weigh 10 stone 3. I've dropped a stone and a half over lockdown. I know it's in the healthy region now but I know I'd feel and look better at 9'9". How much fo you weigh if you're this height and how do you feel about it pls?

13st 9. Apparently I'm obese. But I'm not! I wear size 14. I used to be 9 st and it was not a good place to be. I looked terrible and was beginning to skip meals etc.

MillieEpple · 26/10/2020 20:40

10st 8lb i am a 14 in most shops.

thedaytodayyesterday · 26/10/2020 20:46

10 stone 7 and I'm a size 10 and happy with that. I've been around this size my whole adult life bar my years in a wheelchair when my weight increased a lot due to inactivity but one baby later and increased mobility and I'm back to this size again. I think this is my happy weight. I can only get slimmer if I literally starve myself and exercise a tonne. I eat three small meals a day and keep steadily active (chronic illness permitting)

BackforGood · 26/10/2020 20:46

My weight has gone from 8st 3 as a late teen and in my 20s, through almost 4 decades, having 3 dc, having cancer and going through the menopause to about 11 st 5 now.

I seem to have shrunk about 1/2 " too Hmm

SO I don't think it is all about 'just' weight

justoffshift · 26/10/2020 20:48

8st 9lbs at that height, 25yo with a 5yo and 3 yo

justoffshift · 26/10/2020 20:49

size 10 on top as have D cups, used to be an 8 all over before boobs were done

lustforlife · 26/10/2020 20:50

I weigh 10.5 stone and am a size 10/12. Quite happy with that considering I had a baby 12 weeks ago Smile

MadauntofA · 26/10/2020 20:50

11st 3, size 12 most places. Definite pear shape. 10st7 is my happy weight, slowly aiming for it. Much less than that and I have zero boobs and a very gaunt face.

sausagepastapot · 26/10/2020 20:52

About 11 stone and muscly. 10 on top 10/12 on the bottom.

EffYouSeeKaye · 26/10/2020 20:53

Slightly taller, 9st 7. Size 10-12 generally but then I don’t like clothes to be too tight fitting. Feel great! Don’t want to be any lighter, it doesn’t really suit me to have no curves at all. If I get too close to 10st I take immediate action though as I hate feeling sluggish.

jennie0412 · 26/10/2020 20:53

I was going to start this thread this morning! I'm 5'5ish and weigh 10st 2 as of this morning. However, I absolutely hate my body naked. Clothed, I can deal with it. So, I'm looking to continue losing weight Sad

tilder · 26/10/2020 20:53

62kg. Not sure what that is in stones. Could with losing 2kg to shift fat around my middle.

20 years ago I weighed 55kg ish. I was very fit and lean. So I know I am currently carrying a fair bit of fat around my organs.

Am always fascinated by these threads and how different people perceive weight.

DonaldTrumpsChopper · 26/10/2020 20:53

9 stone 2, size 10.

To be honest, I'm slightly better at 9 stone 5 this time of year, as I feel a bit thin. I'm actively trying to put a bit of weight on at the moment.

BadDucks · 26/10/2020 20:54

9 and a half stone (I was about 10 and half a year ago). I did get down to 9 stone 3 and felt really good at that weight so world like to shift a couple more pounds

Pinkclarko · 26/10/2020 20:55

10st 10 but would rather be about half a stone lighter. I’m a size 12

StillMedusa · 26/10/2020 20:55

8 stone 10. I'm 52 and have been between 8 stone 8 and 9 1/2 stone most of my adult life( barring pregnancy x4) I'd probably look better with a little more weight these days but I just tend to the scrawny.

Scarby9 · 26/10/2020 20:55

9st 2 today. 9st last week. 10st 3 at the start of lockdown.
I feel fine and much better than at 10 stone, but I am still carrying weight round my waist. I would probably be better half a stone lighter, but I don't expect to see that weight again.

12frogsincoats · 26/10/2020 20:55

18 stone 5 right now but working on it.

bumblenbean · 26/10/2020 20:56

Until mid 20s I was 8.5 stone, gradually put on weight then was consistently about 10-10.5 stone until about age 30 - comfortable size 10-12.

Combination of medication, penchant for junk food and kids means I went up to almost 13 stone at my heaviest after my youngest was born- luckily have managed to get down to 11.6 which is still almost half a stone too much BMI wise.

I could just about accept being this weight if it wasn’t for my bloody post-kids stomach ‘apron’ - I swear that bad boy must weigh half a stone alone 🤣

fairynick · 26/10/2020 20:56

11st size 12 top size 14 bottom, I would say I’m just about overweight. I have a massive stomach but small boobs and skinny legs so as long as I conceal my stomach somehow I look around a size 12 with clothes on, but around a size 16 when I’m naked. I think I could do with at least half a stone weight loss, but a stone would probably be better.

Ellabella989 · 26/10/2020 20:57

12 stone 6 and im a size 14. I’m pear shaped with small boobs and flat(ish) tummy but big hips, thighs and bum. I’m trying to lose weight to get to around 11 stone

mamaduckbone · 26/10/2020 20:57

10st 6. I'm reasonably happy with this. I'm a size 10 top and size 12 bottoms usually.

About 2 years ago I'd crept up to 11st2, lost over a stone and now a few pounds have crept back on. I'd like to get back to nearer 10st but quite honestly life is crap enough at the moment without dieting.

Werk · 26/10/2020 20:57

8st 10lb - size 8 to 10.
I have been down to about 7st 10 in my early twenties and up to 10st 7 when I let myself go after a bad breakup but I naturally seem to hover around this weight (well, for the past 13 years anyway),
I have barely any muscle as I just can't seem to build it and would say I am skinny fat, small boobs, flabby stomach, wobbly thighs (really selling myself 😂).
Early 40's.
It always baffles me that weight and dress size can vary so much for women the same height, so OP - don't worry about what other women weigh or what dress size they are, just find a happy medium where you get to enjoy food in moderation, find an exercise you enjoy and can sustain and not care about the number in your jeans - life is too short to be on a permanent diet.

happysunr1se · 26/10/2020 20:58

I'm 5ft 6 and 9 stone 6, or 61kg.

I was 57kg through my 20s and early 30s until I had a child, since then it seems 60ish kg is as low as I go without changing my diet and exercise. I wear size 12 bottoms and size 10 tops.

I have a very physical job and I dont eat excessively or unhealthily. I don't feel inclined to do more exercise in my leisure time beyond walking round local parks type things.

I wouldn't mind being slimmer in places, like my pre-baby days, but as I'm not prepared to do anything, it is not a real goal and therefore I have decided I am happy with myself the way I am currently.

Maybe as I get older and lose muscle tone I will decide to do something, who knows.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 26/10/2020 20:59

Well done on your weight loss!

Anywhere between 9st 5 & 9st 10 depending where I am in my cycle (it's not really noticeable). I've been around this weight for the last 12 years, 5dc, 31 years old. Size 10 although they are on the loose side I find an 8 slightly too tight (except gap jeans, I do take an 8 in them but they are known to run large). I eat a good diet, exercise daily & think I look reasonably good. I feel happy at this weight. I have a slight tummy but I think that has more to do with 5 dc in a little over 7 years than anything else. I'm an inverse triangle shape, which helps as I find most clothing styles sit well on me.
