I'm 5'6" and weigh 10 stone 3. I've dropped a stone and a half over lockdown. I know it's in the healthy region now but I know I'd feel and look better at 9'9". How much fo you weigh if you're this height and how do you feel about it pls?

isthismylifenow · 27/10/2020 06:14

52kg but I couldn't tell yoh my clothing size anymore as it ranges from a 4 to a 12 these days depending which shop. In the olden days I was, and had always been an 8.

Im 50 and I've weighed around there my whole life except of course during pregnancy.

Lemonsyellow · 27/10/2020 06:14

About 8 stone 3. My natural weight is more like 8-7, but I’ve been ill recently. I’m in my 50s.

PlugUgly1980 · 27/10/2020 06:31

Same height, age 40, 8st 11lb. Try and eat healthy but not religiously so, but run 5 times a week and walk lots daily.

mammmamia · 27/10/2020 08:12

I’m almost 5’6” and have always weighed around 8 stone. Since I hit 40 it’s slowly crept up to around 8 stone 10 ish. I eat well, no junk and exercise regularly. I’d rather be nearer the 8 stone mark as that’s what I’ve always been and my arms and legs look better. But I don’t know how to shift it and not sure I should.

MsTSwift · 27/10/2020 14:38

Amazed at these 8 stoners I haven’t weighed that since I was 21 and was seen as very slim then how on earth do you maintain that in your 40s post kids?! Nearly killed me to get from 11 st 9 to 9 st 9 last year and I look pretty slim can’t imagine being 8 stone!

Branleuse · 27/10/2020 14:41

about 74kg which is probably about 11 and a half stone.
Im a bit chunky at the moment, but its been like this since I went on HRT and antidepressants. Im actually fairly active and dont think I have a bad diet, but nothing shifts anymore. I wear about a size 14

Cailleach · 27/10/2020 14:43

54kg or about 8st 5.

Look and feel much better at 52kg but hey ho.

TheWindowDonkey · 27/10/2020 14:46

8 st 10 im mid forties.

TheWindowDonkey · 27/10/2020 14:48

MsTSwift. Im going through divorce. Ive lost 2.5 stone since last year. Its one of the few upsides.😂

edwinbear · 27/10/2020 16:08

5ft 5.5. Currently 9st 10, started lockdown at 10st 9 but was as high as 12st 4 in Feb 2019.

Target is 9st 7 but the final 3lbs are proving hard. I'm still a size 14 though, top and bottom. I eat 1200 calories a day and currently doing 9-10 gym classes a week (spin & body pump), the quality of my diet is awful though, lots of beige food and crisps. Cutting right back on alcohol has helped a lot and I expect I'd lose those extra 3lbs if I gave up completely, but life's too short!

StandardPoodle · 27/10/2020 18:03

Used to be 5'6" but now 5'5" as I age (60s).
I'm about 8st 5lb - rarely weigh myself - and happy with my weight.

Pumpkinstace · 27/10/2020 18:05

55kg. I think that's about 8.5st.

I feel underweight, I want to be 60kg.

Singinghollybob · 27/10/2020 18:12

I'm 8 stone 6lbs at 5'6"

littlemissalwaystired · 27/10/2020 18:17

56kg at 5ft6. I don't feel too skinny at all, I'm very comfortable at this size but I'm also early/mid twenties so that probably makes a difference.

Pumpkinstace · 27/10/2020 18:25

Possibly, I liked being thin in my 20s, now I'm older my face feels hollow and haggard.

I need more weight to plump my face.

CheeseAndOnionIcecream · 27/10/2020 19:40

At the moment I'm 15 stone 3 lbs, down from 20 stone 10 lbs,2 years ago. My target is 9 stone 10 lbs. When I was in my mid to late teens,I was 9 stone 4 lbs,so now at the age of 57,I figured that 9 stone 10 lbs is a good weight for 5 ft 6 in.
