I'm 5'6" and weigh 10 stone 3. I've dropped a stone and a half over lockdown. I know it's in the healthy region now but I know I'd feel and look better at 9'9". How much fo you weigh if you're this height and how do you feel about it pls?

I'm bang on 5 foot 6. At the moment I am 10st 13 Sad.

I have yo-yo'd in weight for many years and come to the conclusion that:

9st 10 is just on the right side of slim for me
9st 7 is slim
9st 3 is probably the lowest I'd go

I have probably been 8st 7-13 at an earliee age but I have a rectangle/pear body shape. My shoulders are broad, my neck is long, small chest, my waist is small and I start to look a bit gaunt at the very low end.
Still pounds on my hips though Hmm. I think body shape is a factor.

I know I am getting to the right weight when my face stops looking like a hamster and has some cheek bones.

Zaphodsotherhead · 26/10/2020 23:07

Nine stone two at the moment. I went down to eight stone three early in the year, but I looked gaunt and wasted at that weight. I was a size eight, am now a size ten and perfectly happy at that.

I run four to five miles a day and have a fairly physical job, which helps, but, at nearly 60, I now find I can't eat anything even vaguely fattening without putting on weight.

MsTSwift · 26/10/2020 23:09

Was 11 stone 9 last Oct lost 2 stone by Feb 2029 now 9 st 9 and trying to maintain sometimes creep up a few pounds. Intermittent fasting and cardio helps

HeyBlaby · 26/10/2020 23:10

10st 3, do a lot of CrossFit so do have a bit more muscle than I used to, size 10 bottom and top, pretty happy as I am.

Toontown · 26/10/2020 23:13

10 stone 3. I am definitely fat. Size 14. Waist is big.I can feel it when I run.

zenasfuck · 26/10/2020 23:16

14 stone 10, size 14 bottom, 16 top

jellytot24 · 26/10/2020 23:18

8st 7, size 8-10. I suffered from an eating disorder in my teens and have been as low as just under 7 stone, and my heaviest was about 10 stone when I was at university. I'm almost 40 and the ED is still there, lurking in the background although I've usually got a handle on it bar the odd week or so each year.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 26/10/2020 23:21

10 stone 6. My fighting weight is 10 stone 3, and I look thin under ten. I wear size 10, sometimes a 12 bottom. I have a flat tummy, small waist, but a big arse.

This thread is really interesting in terms of the different sizes and how people feel! I was ten stone at the start of lockdown as I had been really ill, so I do feel s bit hefty now. Also in a terrible habit of weighing myself every morning whereas usually I do it weekly - WFH means I have more time.

Bagelsandbrie · 26/10/2020 23:27

I was about 9.5 stone right up until I was about 29, then I was diagnosed with several autoimmune conditions and have been on and off steroids for them since and now aged 40 I am 13 stone. Actually don’t really give a shit about it. I’d love to wake up and be 9 stone again but not enough to actually do anything about it. Love cake and chocolate too much really. I do however do a lot of walking etc. I try to keep as fit as I can.

Houseplantmad · 26/10/2020 23:28

10 stone 3 but aiming to lose 8lbs (have lost 7 already). Size 10 top and 12 bottom.
Was 9 stone 4 pre kids 20 years ago.

Hm2020 · 26/10/2020 23:33

10 stone 10 and a size 10 comfortably I was 9.7 before lockdown and every one said I looked too thin but as a older teen I was 8 stone and a size 8 not sure how that can possibly work out but my clothes are proof 🤷🏼‍♀️

FrameyMcFrame · 26/10/2020 23:39

12.6

I'm size 14-16

I'm fit enough, run 5k, 4 times a week in a decent time.

Just can't lose weight since perimeno started

grassisjeweled · 27/10/2020 00:05

I'm 5'5 and around 10 stone. I look best around 9 stone 9 ish. Cba though

ViciousJackdaw · 27/10/2020 00:26

I'm an inch taller than you and weigh 8st 10. I look dreadful, like a xylophone. I've been a bit unwell though. Trying to eat/muscle my way back up to 9st 7. We are all so varied though, I'm not sure you can go by any benchmark other than a healthy BMI (and well done on that BTW). And let's face it, even if we all had the most fantastic bodies, we'd still look in the mirror and find something we didn't like!

TanteRose · 27/10/2020 01:09

55kgs (8.6 stone)
I'm 52, two DCs, now in peri-meno.
My weight hasn't really changed that much over my adult life.
At my heaviest (apart from pregnancy) at 21 - 60kgs (10 stone)
The only time I was worried about my weight was after the birth of DC2 when I went down to 45kgs Confused and looked awful (combination of breastfeeding, caring for older toddler, family bereavement, huge stress)
I've always eaten normally and healthily - now smaller portions than when I was younger and I can't drink alcohol much anymore!
Let's see how things go as I enter menopause Smile

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 27/10/2020 05:22

I went from 60kg when I was 20 to 70 kg 30y, 2DC and a thyroid problem later + I lost some cm on the way.
My GP is happy but having had a good look in the mirror, I want to get down to 67kg.
Dress size has no meaning it is all over the place.

NeonGenesis · 27/10/2020 05:40

I'm 5"8 and 85kg, but about to give birth any day now... so I'm ok with it Grin

NeonGenesis · 27/10/2020 05:41

Dress size has no meaning it is all over the place.

Couldn't agree more. I can be anything from a 10-16 depending on what it is and what shop it came from

itsme · 27/10/2020 05:52

I'm 14st 7 carry weight around my tummy but I'm happy. I have lost just under 2 stone since jan. I do wish my boobs were perkier but that's all. I got married at the weekend and when I look at the pics people have posted I don't see what I would have 5 years ago- I was highly critical of myself and my appearance.

monkeytennis97 · 27/10/2020 05:59

5'5.5''

March 2020-17 stone 9lbs
Currently 12 stone 11lbs
Target (by March 2021) 10 stone 9lbs

HappyThursdays · 27/10/2020 06:01

I'm now 62kg (9 st 10) but it is a constant battle to stay under 64kg (10 stone) and I can just about fit into a size 10.

I was 72kg only a few years ago and it was really hard work getting down to where i am now. Like @tilder I was around 56kg my whole life till I had the kids and then I went through a messy divorce.

I'm definitely carrying a lot of weight round my middle and look best at about 58kg but I think the days of being at that weight are long gone!

ShinyGreenElephant · 27/10/2020 06:03

Currently 10 stone 6, I'm 20 weeks pregnant but the baby weighs the same as a cob of corn so thats no good reason really! I'm usually around 9 stone 7 ish, go down to 9 stone for holidays but much below that I start looking a bit gaunt. I look ok at the moment but not really big enough for maternity clothes yet and my size 8s don't fit, so a bit inconvenient.

cariadlet · 27/10/2020 06:04

@monkeytennis97 That's an amazing weight loss. Congratulations!

monkeytennis97 · 27/10/2020 06:06

@cariadlet thank you Thanks

eurochick · 27/10/2020 06:10

Lots of skinny minnies on this thread! I've seen these before with much heavier weights mentioned.

I'm currently 10st. My ideal is 9 and a half but that is hard now I'm 40+. I'm aiming to get to around 9'9-9'10.
