What gestation did your first baby come?

Totally unscientific research but - what day of gestation did your first baby come? And if it wasn’t spontaneous (planned Caesarian, induction etc) why was that?

Just curious really, at week 36 awaiting number one Smile

Went into labour at 39+5, born at exactly 40wks.

DC2 was 40+3.

DC3 was 41+3, planned section.

DC4 was 38wks, also a planned section.

31 weeks placental abruption with twins.

firsttimemummy11 · 17/10/2020 22:57

42 weeks... I had to be induced - my little boy was far too comfortable in my belly... he eventually made an appearance with the help of forceps Confused

Fingers crossed your baby comes soon - good luck x

42+1. Had a pessary put in for induction at lunchtime-ish at 42, not much happened until my waters broke at 2.30am and I went into labour and had him at 5.14. Was all very fast after the long, long wait for it to happen.

Pickypolly · 17/10/2020 23:02

37 weeks.
Pre eclampsia & IUGR.

DramaAlpaca · 17/10/2020 23:02

Spontaneously at 39+2

FairfaxHigh · 17/10/2020 23:03

41+6 - ended up being induced. Absolutely no sign he was going to make it out under his own steam and didn't want to go down the daily monitoring route. Ended up being a really straightforward labour despite him being a bit of a whopper (9lb 2oz).

Second time round had resigned myself to probably needing eviction proceedings again but DS2 had other plans and popped along to join us at 39+4.

Good luck Smile

MrsL2016 · 17/10/2020 23:05

41wks, went into labour the day before.

BathPearlsAndABritneyCD · 17/10/2020 23:05

DS - 40+4. But I’d been induced the day before as I had sudden and severe pre-eclampsia.

DD - 40+2. I’d had a sweep on my due date, no idea if the sweep brought her out or if she’d have come anyway - I was just so relieved the PE hadn’t reappeared.

seaduck · 17/10/2020 23:05

41+1. Was induced due to reduced movements and a scan showing low fluid and a smaller than expected baby.

ChanklyBore · 17/10/2020 23:06

Spontaneously at 17 days past the due date for the first one

scrivette · 17/10/2020 23:06

DC1 - 38 weeks
DC2 - 40 weeks
DC3 - 38 weeks

ShowOfHands · 17/10/2020 23:06

38wks - waters broke spontaneously.

Muddypuddlesinthewoods · 17/10/2020 23:07

39+5 spontaneous labour.

NatalieH2220 · 17/10/2020 23:08

DS1 was born at 38+6

DS2 is still cooking - currently 34+5

mydogmike · 17/10/2020 23:09

37 weeks , baby had 2 bowel obstructions & waters broke so I had to then be induced

Babyshine2020 · 17/10/2020 23:09

39 weeks exactly (first baby)

somepeoplearesomis · 17/10/2020 23:11

39+4, induced due to reduced movements.

wlv12 · 17/10/2020 23:13

35+1, spontaneous, waters broke followed by labour

thismeansnothing · 17/10/2020 23:13

42+3 - no induction went into labour naturally. The rest is a different story.

Second was 38+5 planned Csection was brought forward

thaegumathteth · 17/10/2020 23:14

Dc1 40+6 induced with drip but otherwise straightforward pretty quick labour.
Dc2 exactly the same

Wowthisisreal · 17/10/2020 23:14

Spontaneous at 38+1

ArchbishopOfBanterbury · 17/10/2020 23:14

41 weeks 6 days. Spontaneous labour after I declined induction.

(I'm pretty sure I conceived a week later than they thought, my cycles aren't regular.)

thaegumathteth · 17/10/2020 23:15

No scarp that 41+ 6 for both not 40+6. It's been a long day

mum11970 · 17/10/2020 23:17

41 + 3
