Monday will be the second worst day of my life

Sorry for the very self indulgent thread, I posted a few weeks back and had a lot of support.

Monday is my mum's funeral.

She died suddenly 4 weeks ago and I still cannot believe that in two days we'll be cremating her.

Not even sure why I'm posting. Maybe I just need a good old fashioned hand hold

Not sure how I'll do this.

Thinking of you. You get through it on auto pilot tbh, and then spend time after the funeral trying to get your head round it all.

Take some time to be kind to yourself in the next month, and if you want to curl in a little ball under the duvet and sob, that is fine too. It's a rollercoaster for a while.

I couldn't imagine getting through my mum's funeral but I did , but I still can't get my head around her not being here and I am not sure I ever will. It is shit.

Thank you one and all for the support and handhold.

It actually went as well as could be expected, and we all managed to hold it together pretty well. There were tears but we were all very "stiff upper lipped"

Dad was an absolute hero!!

We went back to my brothers garden after for a toast and some nibbles. It was exactly what my lovely mum would have wanted.

I feel absolutely shattered now and think I'll sleep well tonight.
