For me it’s blinds. Any kind. I flip them round the wrong way, send them sailing across the window when I’m trying to let light in, I break the beads, I get the strings knotted.

I’ve also tried to learn to knit 4 times and haven’t ever got beyond a few knotted rows with huge holes in.

I am fantastically shit at knitting. I make stitches, lose stitches and create holes. (DM and DSis are very good at it!)
I can sew and crochet perfectly well, though.
I'm also rubbish at remembering people's birthdays.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 16/10/2020 20:46

Omlettes.
Chemical equations.
Walking in heels, though wedges are fine.
Eyeliner.

POP7777777 · 16/10/2020 20:47

Reverse parking

Making a non-lumpy cheese sauce

Applying make-up

Public speaking, without going crimson

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 16/10/2020 20:48

Oh and applicator tampons.

Serena1977 · 16/10/2020 20:56

Make up, clothes, hair.

FallonsTeaRoom · 16/10/2020 21:01

Driving. About £2k on lessons and still can't drive.
Swimming. I swim like a brick.

Brainygaga · 16/10/2020 21:09

Pancakes. French plaits....

Bairnsmum05 · 16/10/2020 21:10

Chess, fried egg, tampons, painting my nails and making tablet. Quite a few things actually 😁

Rainbowb · 16/10/2020 21:11

Every Mum around me seems to make birthday cakes, carve pumpkins and decorate their homes with professional level skill. Feel like I was having a gap year while all the other mums were learning to be brilliant!

alittlehelp · 16/10/2020 21:13

Anything to do with assembling things, fixing things or just generally not breaking things. Driving. Cooking. Maintaining a tidy home. God that's loads.

hellisotherpeopleandhorlicks · 16/10/2020 21:14

Driving and budgeting

Nothing major, then

GunsAndShips · 16/10/2020 21:17

I can't burp either. No idea how people do it.

Natmat1 · 16/10/2020 21:17

Being able to tell what lid goes on what tupperware type plastic box. Obviously if there is a significant difference in shape and size I can. But if not then I just have to keep trying different ones until one fits🤔

greytminds · 16/10/2020 21:22

Any sort of coordinated aerobics type class. I’m the one going in the wrong direction, tripping over, and looking confused. I can’t move my feet one way and do something different with my hands.

I’m kind of relieved to see how many people say driving. I have a license, I did pass my test and I have driven, but I cannot get past the feeling that I’m risking my life every time I get in the car.

Millie2013 · 16/10/2020 21:23

Sewing, one of the stars of the Sewing Bee tried to teach me once. It didn’t end well Grin

stardance · 16/10/2020 21:25

I can't cook rice. I've tried so many times but it never works.

goose1964 · 16/10/2020 21:28

Driving, gave it up as a bad job. Making meringue they always weep. Anything that relies on hand eye coordination, mine doesn't seem to work.

Zzz1234 · 16/10/2020 21:30

@firesong

I can't do that thing where people make their armpits make a squelching noise. I can't whistle.
Are you me? I can't do armpits farts or whistle either.
Zzz1234 · 16/10/2020 21:31

Get a rice cooker perfect rice everytime
VetOnCall · 16/10/2020 21:35

Playing any musical instrument. I'm absolutely hopeless, having to do recorder tests at school used to make me feel physically sick. I can't sing either, although that doesn't stop me belting them out tunelessly when I'm alone in the car 😄

MacavityTheDentistsCat · 16/10/2020 21:36

Front crawl. I just can't do it. I think it's because you have to breathe in quickly, which puts me in a panic. DD finds this completely hilarious, not least because she's a serious competitive swimmer with crawl as her main stroke. Sometimes I really do think she may have been swapped at birth. Grin

Harehedge · 16/10/2020 21:37

Ironing.

Moon cup.

Changing a light bulb.

Parallel parking.

Reading a map.

Putting together the toys in kinder eggs.

Facial recognition.

Scrabble.

Cooking grown up cuts of meat.

Don't know what the lights on the car display mean.

The off side rule.

Now I don't understand the covid regulations and can't remember them when I do.

I actually think I have some undiagnosed issue.

SkittyKat · 16/10/2020 21:38

Cooking, knitting, crochet, being organised.

TrickyD · 16/10/2020 21:39

I am left handed too Babdoc, and anything I crochet is a mirror image of the pattern.
But as I only ever do granny squares or the like, this does not really matter.

audreyand · 16/10/2020 21:41

Hula hooping.
