For me it’s blinds. Any kind. I flip them round the wrong way, send them sailing across the window when I’m trying to let light in, I break the beads, I get the strings knotted.

I’ve also tried to learn to knit 4 times and haven’t ever got beyond a few knotted rows with huge holes in.

Making up those cardboard archive boxes. Just can't do it.

BamboozledandBefuddled · 16/10/2020 17:29

Crochet. I once had to cut my left hand free after the yarn tied it up and took it hostage Blush

Also, algebra. Not something I've ever lost sleep over.

AriesTheRam · 16/10/2020 17:32

Whistling.I just can't do it properly

Sunsetboater · 16/10/2020 17:33

Whistling... Especially with 2 fingers😩

Echobelly · 16/10/2020 17:34

Eyeliner, makeup, styling long hair.

formerbabe · 16/10/2020 17:35

Curling my hair

catwithflowers · 16/10/2020 17:35

Rubik's Cube. All my friends could do it. I occasionally got one side with matching colours and then it was usually by accident.

Lots of things involving spacial awareness. I'm the clumsiest person I know ☹️

Chicchicchicchiclana · 16/10/2020 17:35

New technology, particularly phones.

East and West (I'm ok with left and right).

Height in metres and centimetres, weight in kilos.

Being tidy around the house.

Sleeping through the night.

@Othering
I know! Never got it very well either

I can’t knit, but I can crochet.

SisyphusDad · 16/10/2020 17:35

Other people.

BathPearlsAndABritneyCD · 16/10/2020 17:36

@MrsBrunch

Cooking, putting on makeup, wearing dresses, skirts or heels. Can't do any of it.
I can’t put makeup on either - the number of failed ‘smokey eye’ attempts I’ve made....My friends can produce beautiful looks with eyeshadow - I look like a clown if I try colour, or really drained an exhausted if I try darker shades.

What is it about long division? My Dad spent hours with me the night before school maths exams; I would retain the understanding just long enough to do the exam (but still failed O level) and then pouff! gone.

yankeetid2020 · 16/10/2020 17:52

Putting fake eyelashes on myself.

Makinglists · 16/10/2020 17:55

TFSRM · 16/10/2020 17:56

Zips. I really struggle with them. Sometimes I have to ask DH to do up my coat for me Blush

Karmatime · 16/10/2020 17:57

Throw a ball, poach an egg.

Many of these Grin
Eye makeup, I just make my eyes look wonky not helped by an awkward scar that's normally subtle with a natural face.
Hand signals on a bike.
Put my foot towards my hands from plank to lunge. In fact most things requiring flexibility!
Knots other than the most basic.
Knitting.
Poaching an egg.
Butterfly stroke.
Hitting a ball.
Keeping score mentally.

Bowling - I am embarrassing

ElPatito · 16/10/2020 18:26

Remembering whether the 18th century means the 1700s, 1800s or 1900s.

jessstan1 · 16/10/2020 18:28

Long division.

People are surprised when I say that; I've had it explained to me many times but it just doesn't stay in my head. It stayed long enough for me to pass 11+ but not since.

That and the off side rule in football.

lljkk · 16/10/2020 18:31

Mechanical repairs -- actually I can do some, but mostly not skilled.
There is a long list of things I have done a large number of times in my life and I am STILL rubbish at them all. Practice means I have sometimes not failed, is best I can say.

Babdoc · 16/10/2020 18:32

Delighted to find I’m not the only one who can’t crochet for toffee!

I have happily knitted the most complex patterns imaginable, but crochet? No way.
My MIL tried to teach me, but I’m left handed and never managed to reverse her instructions and demonstrations.
Talking of reverse- I will do anything to avoid reverse parking! I think I’ve done it about ten times in forty years. It wasn’t in the test in my day, and I never got confident at it.

Iwasonceabrownie · 16/10/2020 18:32

Skating, can't roller skate or ice skate. I was an absolute disaster.
