For me it’s blinds. Any kind. I flip them round the wrong way, send them sailing across the window when I’m trying to let light in, I break the beads, I get the strings knotted.

I’ve also tried to learn to knit 4 times and haven’t ever got beyond a few knotted rows with huge holes in.

Half pass. If you know, you know......
😂😂😂😂 It's not my favourite movement ever!
Blibbyblobby · 16/10/2020 19:23

Jam. I can read music and play notes, but every time I’ve tried to improvise I just end forgetting everything. DH is one of nature’s musicians, can’t read music but give him a thing that makes notes and 10 minutes later he’s written a song. I am a dreadful disappointment to him.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 16/10/2020 19:26

Talking, or Eve being in the same room as someone I fancy. I go red, muddle up my words, how anyone can actually flirt with someone they fancy is beyond me.

Also curling my hair with straighteners, I wish I could but I come out looking like Medusa.

Drinking. I get stuck after a couple of drinks when your body starts sending warning signs and I have to stop, I don’t know my limits between getting a bit merry and puking my guts up so I just stop. Maybe if I could drink I could flirt better.

lucysmam · 16/10/2020 19:31

Crochet.

I'm currently trying again; I have it in my head that I'm going to make sparkly crocheted snowflakes for my Christmas tree. In reality I get frustrated & pull them out after not many stitches

AbsolutWitch · 16/10/2020 19:37

Driving, cooking, hair, make up or any kind of self grooming like eyebrow plucking, walking in a straight line, opening the plastic tubs of washing tablets.

I'm sure there's lots more, I'm fairly incompetent for a 41 year old

I can only do it if I’m not actually trying to........
Lordamighty · 16/10/2020 19:40

French.

myfatiguehastiredness · 16/10/2020 19:41

Physics. I can't even understand the diagrams. Chemistry isn't much better but get it a little. Some of my archery equipment. None of it ever comes with instructions!

myfatiguehastiredness · 16/10/2020 19:42

Oh and make up. Can't do make up. Or wear scarves in a glamorous and carefree manner.

MiniMum97 · 16/10/2020 19:44

Life. Yep just not got a handle on that one.

BrieAndChilli · 16/10/2020 19:45

Making omlettes. I can cook - well enough that people rave about my cooking, put in requests for certain meals. I can bake and decorate cakes to a good standard.
Yet omlettes just fall apart on me, they become essentially scrambled eggs with things mixed in.

PersicariaBistortaSuperba · 16/10/2020 19:46

Seeing the shape in a magic eye picture. I got a book full of them for a Christmas in the 90s. Still makes me sad I can't see them.

@Aroundtheworldin80moves

I really struggle with clock changes in n Autumn and Spring as well. I can't visualise how it changes the day.
Me neither !
orangejuicer · 16/10/2020 19:51

Biscuits - baking, not eating. No issue with that! Grin

Sexnotgender · 16/10/2020 19:52

Magic eye pictures.

Eckhart · 16/10/2020 19:57

Making curry. If anybody else can't cook something, I'm the first to say 'Jeez, all you have to do is follow a recipe!'. But curry... I've got no chance.

I also can't spell 'weird'.

BathPearlsAndABritneyCD · 16/10/2020 20:05

I’ve also remembered I’m totally incapable of sticking DD’s blackout blind to the window, it’s one of those ones with suction cup things. When DH puts it up it stays up like cement and when I do it it acts like an arsehole and drops off the window after 5 mins.

Thankfully it’s dark on an evening now so she doesn’t need it

I can’t wrap presents. DD once said “practice makes perfect!” to which I responded “I’ve been trying for 30 bloody years so I’m willing to accept I can’t do it!”.

I can’t to that finger snap when you shake your hand - and probably spent more time trying than a person of my age should 😜

I’d love to be able to do the really loud whistle, with or without fingers in my mouth.

SiliconHeaven · 16/10/2020 20:15

Burping.
Unfortunately that means it always goes the other way

LunaNorth · 16/10/2020 20:18

Whistling with my fingers in my mouth.

Being able to transpose left and right. I hate it when people say, ‘My left or yours?’ How the fuck do I know?

Making meringue.

Painting and decorating.

spookmeout · 16/10/2020 20:20

Wearing heels
Looking polished

Long division - I got a B for maths GCSE too
Clocks changing - agree with PP. Folks who say 'spring forward, fall back' can get in the sea
Neat Handwriting - different style every time I put the pen to the paper

kennelmaid · 16/10/2020 20:33

Hula hooping. I'm so jealous of people who do it so effortlessly.

Anthilda · 16/10/2020 20:40

Maths, periodic table, wiring a plug, making lasagne.

theliverpoolone · 16/10/2020 20:42

Fastening a bra behind my back. I have to do that front-fastening, twizzle it round thing, which is really embarrassing in public changing rooms Blush
