Cats. As they are so popular on here (usually), can I please ask...

...is it possible for girl cats to be pretty and boy cats to be handsome ? Or are cats just cats, regardless of any positive facial features ? My Mum used to describe females as 'pretty pussycats' which I found to be a bit twee, in the nicest possible way. I don't know what she thought of tom cats.

She is very pretty when she's not got that face on. My boy cat is about 6 months younger and they are around the same size hes probably slightly smaller and he has a tiny head. He has big ears but they aren't as noticeable now he's grown into them

I have 4 cats. Two males who are brothers and 2 females who are smaller and dainty. They are all fabulous cats who have never scratched or bitten me. They are all loving and have their own personalities. My males are handsome cats especially the largest male and both long haired and half maincoon. One of my females is long haired and one short haired but with amazing spots.

you have to look at their toebeans to tell for sure...black toebeans for boycats and pink for girlcats....if they have mixed colours it's the predominant colour you judge.

This was told to me by a small child I used to babysit, and except for black or ginger cats it mostly works!!

noodles I'd say girl, she's very beautiful. I had a cat just like her which was female so I'm swayed by that!

I have 2 half-sibling cats and I always think one looks 'handsome' and the other looks 'pretty' even though they are both the same sex. Probably obvious but do they look like males or females?

What's a toebean? Is it the pad on the toe? It does remind me of a bean.

If that's what a toebean is, then my boycat has mostly pink toebeans! According to your theory he's a she! He's black & white.

He wasn't keen on getting inspected just now & has turned his back on me.

The two male cats I knew best were called Tom and Tim (different households but same naming consultant), one a tiger tabby and the other a more randomly marked tabby. You could tell they were boys by their heads. They were known as fatheads for this reason. Tom was quite sleek most of the time whereas Tim was just a big pussycat with big paws. And sharp claws.

Might need to warn the vets tomorrow he maybe doing a slightly different surgery!

My mostly white tabby cat has pink toe beans, a pink nose and has a pretty face. He’s my pretty boy!

My long haired mostly brown not sure what type of cat she actually is.... has browny/red toe beans with matching nose colour, and has a beautiful face. She’s my beautiful girl!

My boy cat is pretty. This is Haribo at 11 months old.

This is mine, she is as mad as a box of frogs but such a pretty kitty! The pictures never do her justice.

Trina, I've never seen such bright blue eyes on a cat. Are they wearing contact lenses?
