Mine would be an ability to recognize any tv commercial in 0.0001 seconds

Now considering learning to do Rubin’s cube during this second ‘lockdown’ period. Given I did NONE of my planned first lockdown tasks (I was working full time tbf) this seems a plan.
I actually have an original boxed 1970s ‘magic cube’ as ‘Rubik‘ was a family connection. Think I won’t use that. All colours are sticky back plastic squares and it’s all a bit rickety compared to current versions.
Great recent Netflix documentary about competitive Rubiks cubing. Unexpectedly uplifting.

ladykuga · 14/10/2020 12:36

I always know when it's 10.22pm. Hmm

toomanypillows · 14/10/2020 13:02

I can recite the alphabet backwards quicker than forwards
I know all of the words to the original Poke- rap
I know all of the words to Gaudete, and I don't know how I know them - I've never actively learned them

Ooh, I am also licensed to build scaffolding towers up to a height of 5.2metres. I have never needed to

crispcottonsheets · 14/10/2020 13:15

Plus sometimes 11.11 as well

Maireas · 19/10/2020 15:12

I can recite the periodic table as well, but only for the elements discovered by 1976, which is when I did O level Chemistry.
I have never had to use this after June 1976

Bumpsadaisie · 19/10/2020 15:13

I can tell you what key a pneumatic drill/Blender/other random machine is whirring in as I have perfect pitch.

Bumpsadaisie · 19/10/2020 15:14

@Maireas

Hang on.

Do you mean elements continue to be discovered then??

Maireas · 19/10/2020 15:19

It would seem so, I think we're up to 117 now. Bloomin scientists.

LzzyHale · 19/10/2020 15:22

If I hold a pen in each hand I can mirror write with my left hand the word I am writing using my right hand.
I can recite all the books of the bible, in song format, a relic from Sunday School days.

nosswith · 19/10/2020 15:24

I can tell you all the Kings and Queens of England since at least the Norman Conquest.

Londonmummy66 · 19/10/2020 15:25

Hushabyelullabye - I can ribbet too - useful skill when entertaining 2 year olds - otherwise pretty useless

Useless skills - I can still remember enough of my classical Greek to conjugate luo

Greenandcabbagelooking · 19/10/2020 15:26

HunterAngel · 19/10/2020 15:40

I can name most of the major gods/goddess in Greek myth and tell you their roman name. Some of the minor gods as well. Can also name several from the Norse and Egyptian pantheons. This is useful only when watching the chase.

Play any of Steps songs from their debut album and I can sing along word perfect despite not listening to that cd in 20 years. I cannot do this unprompted

Don’t watch lord of the rings or Star Wars with me unless you want to listen to an endless stream of useless trivia instead of the movie.

peakygal · 19/10/2020 15:41

I can tell you the year a song came out off the top of my head from say 1980 to present although after maybe 2015 I wouldn't be as good because music just went down hill from there. Im especially good with 90s

Eaumyword · 19/10/2020 15:49

I can turn daisies inside out.
But most useful of all is my ability to recite Peter Pepper at record speed.

KingscoteStaff · 19/10/2020 16:34

Missing Vowels round. I win every time. Can't do Round 2 though, so you don't want me in your team...

Frazzled13 · 19/10/2020 16:37

I can name all 50 states plus their capitals.
I’ve never even been to the US, but apparently my memory is great at this totally pointless info, but incapable of storing my paypal password!

AnaViaSalamanca · 19/10/2020 16:44

Oh and number theory.

Disfordarkchocolate · 19/10/2020 16:56
