What is the strangest thing you’ve seen someone get annoyed about on here?

I was reminded yesterday of a poster who was furious about people including the county in postal addresses.
I’ve also had a thread where posters are angry with me for not having a bin in my bathroom.
Then there was the poster who said that women who put their bras on in a certain fashion will be the first against the wall when the revolution comes.

Something are worth getting cross about but what is the most inconsequential thing you’ve seen posters getting angry about?

A nurse being called pathetic & ripped limb from limb for saying that for her, on her day off from the COVID ward, that lockdown was perfect for her to stay indoors, eat, sleep, watch films on her sofa and not have to go anywhere.
The furious and abusive answers that poor bugger got were jaw dropping.

AllPlayedOut · 11/10/2020 08:23

People eating crisps on a bench.

Pickypolly · 11/10/2020 08:28

There was a toilet brush one recently too, my God that one rumbled on and on with such fury!

Winterfellismyhome · 11/10/2020 08:28

A poster on a Christmas tree thread annoyed that someone would put their Christmas tree up before advent Hmm

Why do you even care?! Let people do what makes them happy

StanfordPines · 11/10/2020 08:31

Keep a Christmas tree up all year round if you want. It’s your house.

Using the term ‘sanpro’. Having said sanpro ‘on display’ in the bathroom. The fact that social class exists.

Well there's a current thread where the OP, who isn't Scottish and doesn't live in Scotland, seems incensed about the fact that English people are not that bothered about the fact that exams in Scotland are cancelled, and are only really interested in the exams in England - you know, the ones that are actually relevant to them. That's pretty strange imo. Apparently it's a sign that we all hate or don't care about Scottish people or something. Confused

The one currently running about a teacher off self isolating makes me want to go and live alone on an island.

Toilet brushes are well known to be divisive though.

Ok but if you don’t have a bin in your bathroom where do guests put their sanitary towels etc? I remember taking nappy bags to my dads house when I was a teenager and then sneaking them I the kitchen bin

NC4NW123 · 11/10/2020 08:31

When people get angry at those who dislike wearing face masks. Why do we all have to like them ??

riotlady · 11/10/2020 08:33

Realise I’ve TOTALLY missed the point if the thread but still xD

I very rarely have guests. My bathroom is tiny and there is literally no where to put a bin.

I remember a post about how people handled a certain sex issue. Someone replied and the response she got was “nobody wants to hear about your sex life”. Grin

Well I can see why people were irate, how dare you

Magicbabywaves · 11/10/2020 08:39

The one where people were annoyed with people drinking take away coffees. Smug apparently.

I get wound up when people don't use gaps in their postcode but I'm just weird 😂😂

AllPlayedOut · 11/10/2020 08:44

I do think though that many/most people have inconsequential things that annoy them. I do have to grit my teeth when people refer to their three and four year old children, and sometimes older as "toddlers".

GertrudeCB · 11/10/2020 08:48

Any one where the op is in social housing and the " I pay for my house " brigade show up. As if paying rent doesn't exist 🤨

itchyfinger · 11/10/2020 08:49

Theres one at the moment about queuing for cake "during a global pandemic". The cheek of it.

Franke · 11/10/2020 08:53

One that stuck in my mind from years ago. A woman and her little boy were trying to grow some tomato plants without much success so she came on here looking for some advice. She let slip that she had purchased said plants from B&Q ( or similar) and was ripped a new one by a very angry, aggressive (and well known at the time) poster for not buying the plants from a "reputable local garden centre". Ffs, she was just asking about growing some plants with her boy so he might learn something. I still feel angry about the response 15 years later.

Motnight · 11/10/2020 08:53

Years ago, a toddler chasing pigeons.

Ylfa · 11/10/2020 08:58

Rescuing suffering animals, disease free, passported and fully vaccinated from other countries where they face inhumane mass euthanasia (at best, if they’re lucky) in case an English born dog, cared for in a humane no-kill shelter misses out 🧐

fatherliamdeliverance · 11/10/2020 08:59

Ha what about the poster who was livid because people love dolphins despite their predatory sexual behaviour??
