Today! First time since a pub garden back in July.
I felt really safe at first, they seem to sd tables but then more and more people packed in.. And not a single window was open, it was becoming really stuffy.
When I asked to open a window the lady next to me shot me an absolutely filthy look, the people on the other side said it was stuffy... I said I was thinking just for a moment, more due to covid than anything else. The lady said nastily, just a moment.
Then the one tiny window was opened a fraction, she immediately made a show of tightly wrapping her shawl around herself and shivering... Within seconds of it being open.
Thankfully we were just finishing up.
I thought it was extraordinary, there were 6 of us on that row and I was the only one thinking of covid and some fresh air.
It's a shame. A great shame.
Winter will be horrific. People are more worried about a tiny bit of fresh air or being cold than breathing in covid aerosols and coming down with covid.
. Dh shut the window and she didn't even say anything.
