Not a film but recently started watching The OA.
I thought it was just some trash DH selected but it’s actually really good so far.

If you want a weepy romance The Notebook is on Netflix at the moment.

GreekOddess · 03/10/2020 17:28

I recently watched Thelma and Louise for the first time but I was late to the party you've probably seen it already.

gerbo · 03/10/2020 17:31

A bit leftfield, but if you like historical films, try Lady Jane. It's brilliant - a good weepie. (Lady Jane Grey - Helena Bonham Carter)

I loved the Imitation Game but it’s not girly. I’ve got White Teeth on my list, read the book years ago and enjoyed it. Not that girly though.

IDontMindMarmite · 03/10/2020 17:32

Always be my maybe - Perfect girlie cute film

Nuffaluff · 03/10/2020 17:33

When Harry Met Sally

It’s perfect.

CoronaIsWatching · 03/10/2020 17:33

Ozark

CanIGoHomeNowPlease · 03/10/2020 17:35

Sense and sensibility is on Netflix - I love that film.

As is Deadpool which I also think is great....

Completely different ends of the spectrum film wise but would happily watch both tonight.

isthismylifenow · 03/10/2020 17:36

I too have a child free Netflix to myself today. I'm also going to check your replies, as it seems I'm in one of those moods...

I watched one episode of Away and couldn't get into that.

And one of The OA and can't get into that either.

I can recommend Virgin River though, although it's a series. One of those lay on the couch and no thinking, easy watching light series.

Main actor is hot too Smile

Ahrightsoted · 03/10/2020 17:36

Joy is a brilliant film....with Jennifer Lawrence

TopBitchoftheWitches · 03/10/2020 17:38

I started watching the fall this afternoon but fell asleep 😴
What I did watch was good.

JemimaTiggywinkle · 03/10/2020 17:40

Dumpling.
Dolly Parton soundtrack, great film

BabyLlamaZen · 03/10/2020 17:41

When Harry met Sally. A heartwarming cracker!

DrDavidBanner · 03/10/2020 17:43

Dumpling is fun
When Harry Met Sally is on of my all time favourites
Some Like It Hot never gets old

MrsGrindah · 03/10/2020 17:44

Wine Country! It’s a bit like Bridesmaids and also starts Maya Rudolph..funny and touching.

orangejuicer · 03/10/2020 17:44

I think it's sense and sensibility. Depending how much time you have- bbc pride and prejudice. 6 hours of bliss.

isthismylifenow · 03/10/2020 17:47

@JemimaTiggywinkle

Dumpling. Dolly Parton soundtrack, great film
I previewed the Dolly Parton one. Maybe I will give that one a whirl.

I also need light. The series I selected aren't light.

mamaduckbone · 03/10/2020 17:48

For proper girlie weepie Me before You is nice...

isthismylifenow · 03/10/2020 17:50

Ooh another film I watched recently was The Light between two oceans.

Redcups64 · 03/10/2020 17:52

For a light hearted film that makes you feel good try Enola Holmes. My eldest watched it and whilst it was on I got glued to it and loved it which I was genuinely shocked at!

Summer776 · 03/10/2020 18:03

Remember Me
Safe Haven
The Vow
Dear John
The Best of Me

Overseasmom100 · 03/10/2020 18:05

Some good suggestions thanks. Might do when Harry met Sally as never seen it...beve4 seen Rhema and Louise either!!!

Dumplin also not seen.

When flicking through I cant believe how many films Jennifer Aniston has been in!!!!!

temproasted · 03/10/2020 18:11
