I put the last message in, and didn't find a new thread. Which I found disquiting, so to calm my nerves here goes.

@0blio - so glad you could access Uncle G's website! Others apparently got an error message about being too far away.

Yes, their cheese department is fabulous, as is their bakery. I tend to get mostly their breads. DD adores their French baguettes. They also sell pizza dough and sauce (see a picture of the end product up thread).

If I need a cake there's a fab bakery nearby that just does desserts:

They started just baking for restaurants and then opened the retail outlet. They're famous for their wedding and custom cakes. For my dad's birthday, they made a cake that looked like a shortwave ham radio, that being his big hobby in retirement. Their chocolate mousse cake is a go to for family occasions.

I saw a rainbow today on the way back from work.

My neighbour sent me photos of Sodding Kitten trying to make friends with her big moggy. They seem to be getting on reasonably well. We are hopeful that they’ll arrive at an amicable arrangement for sharing their respective gardens, as Mog likes pooing on our lawn and SK likes hiding under neighbour’s shrubs to stalk the sparrows.

My neighbour bought me a keyring thing which you whistle at to find your keys.

Trouble is it goes off at almost anything so I was on a telephone call earlier and the thing kept beeping so I had to apologise and turn it off.

I have a daddy long legs in my bedroom and that's quite noisy as well. Haven't got the energy to catch it right at this sec.

BusyDreaming I've been doing that for a few weeks and I've decided I prefer the look of this new version. And I like the cast just as well if not better in some cases!

I'm exhausted from using my new planner - I need to drop my standards and not aim to get so many jobs done each day. The To Do list is looking brilliant but I'm a wreck

My mum bought me some new slippers and they arrived today. They’re blue sheepskin with a woolly lining. Super warm and cosy. I get chilblains every year but maybe this year I’ll manage not to!

Don’t know whether to send DS to school or not tomorrow. I’ve caught the cold now so feel really rough and he’s been full of beans today but also obviously not quite 100%, and I don’t know what to do

I have had 2 showers today. One this morning and one this evening after circuits.

And ds has a cold and has not eaten them all

@Cindersincyberlockdown I now urgently need to make brownies this weekend. Must resist. It can be my reward when I have lost a stone.

I cleared 9ut the cupboard under the stairs today, and filled 2 black bags with rubbish.

Asda packet mix brownies are amazing if you under cook them a bit

Yesterday i made vegan banana chocolate brownies to eat in front of bakeoff. Today i bought a knitting pattern and wool online.

I couldn't be bothered to cook what I planned today so I had a veggie burger in a bun with salad.

I quite like listening to the rain in bed.

The running jacket arrived. It's a bit big but I need the room to layer up for running in the really cold weather, so I'll keep this one. It often gets down to -12 here overnight in the winter.

The cat got very cross with DH for going to bed, he went down to see the issue and discovered that in the middle of the cats food bowl you could see the bowl and she was mad about that. Crisis is now resolved.

I just had apple pie and custard.

Mine do this too. I always assume it was unique.

It has been a day of mild disappointments.
An out-of-production casserole dish I bought on eBay to replace an old one that broke finally arrived today - and was 6cm smaller than I’d thought so doesn’t fit the lid that I kept :(
A basin I looked at the previous night and decided to go ahead and order had since come off sale so had doubled in price :(
Was finally refunded for a basin I had previously bought that was misdescribed on a website and the cheeky website has refunded me £XXX instead of the full £XXX.99.

FartingNora, a local cat or dog rescue may take your duvet. Would be lovely for the animals to sleep on after being neglected/homeless x

Only 10° here. I switched work with Friday so I can get to my appointment without stressing about traffic etc.

Made a to do list to make the most of this day.

Sue DH gave the cat extra, he worships the cat and he knows the way to her heart is through her stomach.

All cats are unique in their own special way.

Mine don't seem to get cross when this happens. They also get wet food twice a day, so the dry is really there for them to snack on. They do get quite stabby if they think their wet food is late.

Mr Google answered my question about black bin day, since none of you all could be arsed.

Today I put out co-mingled recycling, but not until later. If it goes out now while it's still dark the critters will tip it over looking for food. It's very early here and I'm about to go out for my run. Thankfully it has stopped raining.
