Curry I hope you do not mind?
I put the last message in, and didn't find a new thread. Which I found disquiting, so to calm my nerves here goes.

I would eat any of those on your list!

soddingkitten · 10/10/2020 16:34

Amaretto is good poured over ice cream and limoncello.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/10/2020 16:38

We have no ice cream. Now I have to silently suffer.

Glorious crisp, bright autumn day here. The leaves were crunchy underfoot when we ventured out earlier and the leaves on the trees in the nearby park were beautiful autumn russets and yellows.

Sodding spent the whole morning racing around the garden like a mad thing, chased by his shadow. He’s now sleeping it off in the playroom. His energy was ferocious. I dare not think what state our furniture would be in if he was a house cat. 🤯

mathanxiety · 10/10/2020 16:45

Someone else's Sodastream was delivered to me yesterday. It was ordered on the first of October, the same day DD2 ordered the one I should have received. Hoping Martha T from [northern midwest US state] gets mine on or before the 23rd and that it words as well as hers does.

mathanxiety · 10/10/2020 16:45

*works

mathanxiety · 10/10/2020 16:46

I have the black cat/white couch blues.

Oh dear, this is a sorry state of affairs.

Any natural yoghurt in you can freeze? Or how far is the nearest corner shop...?

Iheardarumour · 10/10/2020 17:01

I've bought some new trousers for work but they are too big in the waist so I took them to the dry cleaners and they are taking them in for me.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/10/2020 17:03

The next supermarket (Penny = sth like Aldi) is about 3 minutes away but it is absolutely pouring it down.
But I have found chocolate which will (if barely) tide me over.

This is the first time I’ve read this thread and it makes me feel happy. I write penpal letters and this is exactly the sort of everyday stuff we frame our letters with, before (possibly) going on to talk about “bigger” things

Champagneforeveryone · 10/10/2020 17:21

DDog1's bed has been delayed so he's no longer excited.

DH has shown him a photo of the Amazon lorry crash on the A27, but he remains deflated.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/10/2020 17:24

Please no bigger things on here Grin

Nut or full milk? That is the question.

A deflated dog - can you reinflate him with treats?

OP posts:
bearlyactive · 10/10/2020 17:31

No nut milk over here, unless you particularly want me to experience anaphylaxis Grin

OublietteBravo · 10/10/2020 17:36

I have polyfillered the hole above the skirting board.

Star Juliet. The mundanity of this post warmed my heart and made me smile.
soddingkitten · 10/10/2020 17:45

Oops. Oubliette.

Sorry (takes chocolate - unopened - away). No food allergies here - but you can kill (as in possibility not as in allowed) me with paracetamol

I can hear DS upstairs getting annoyed with Sodding because he’s fighty-bitey-playfighting and its getting in the way of DS’s gaming. He just said to his friends in the group chat “no, I can’t pick him up. He’s in kill kill kill mode.... argh he’s biting my feet.” 🤣

DotForShort · 10/10/2020 18:13

My news for the day: I baked some gluten-free muffins which also turned out to be taste-free. I think those muffins are the very definition of dull and unexciting. Oh, well. Back to the (baking) drawing board.

bearlyactive · 10/10/2020 18:14

Here's my unexciting news: I have bought two ready meals from M&S - one to freeze, one to eat tonight. AND I bought myself some Maltesers mint buttons. I'm in clover Grin

Nydj · 10/10/2020 18:16

I have been in the garden today hacking back the false jasmine (Trachelospermum jasminoides - for those of you who like the correct name for things) before the man comes to move things around for me. We have established plants and the membrane thingy with gravel on top and I am a weakling so have decided to treat myself to paying someone to do the hard work.
Our green bin is almost full now but neighbour kindly said I could fill up hers as she wasn’t planning on doing much gardening before the next green bin day.

Nydj · 10/10/2020 18:18

I cut up the pruned bits into 3-4” pieces to get much in the bin 😇

MissConductUS · 10/10/2020 18:43

@Frownette

I received a beautiful wool jacket through the post today. I'm hot to trot.

Pizza getting delivered soon.

My bank balance shall regret this shortly, I'll be weeping into my baked beans for a few weeks.

Can you give us a link to the wool jacket so that we may admire it?

We used to get takeaway pizza every Friday. When they closed in March we started making our own. Buying the dough, premade sauce, cheese and toppings it cost about half the cost of the takeaway and is dead simple to make.

QuestionableMouse · 10/10/2020 18:43

Just had home made hunters chicken for tea. I have cake and custard for afters too.
