Curry I hope you do not mind?
I put the last message in, and didn't find a new thread. Which I found disquiting, so to calm my nerves here goes.

Noooooooooooo at dropped shower door!

I took a trip down memory lane thanks to Google maps which started out nicely but now I have a lump in my throat.

Gingerkittykat · 09/10/2020 21:28

I got a new wheelie bin from the council, the brown one for garden and food waste. I strongly suspect the neighbour with the huge garden with 6 foot fences with locked gates is to blame for it going missing. I was carrying out operation wheelie bin on the days it was emptied to try and find it but bastard neighbour listens for the lorry and puts bins out then and then takes them in immediately so I missed the 5 minute window for seeing his/ my bins in the street.

I'm off to google luminous bin stickers which I will place all over my bin. I might even get one of those hideous vinyl sets that fully cover your bin so nobody can steal it and have it blend in.

KoalaRabbit · 09/10/2020 21:33

When we got a bigger bin from council they advised painting our house number on it as they said loads get nicked. We still are proud bin owners 10 years later.

Some of those wheelie bin decals are hideous. There’s a house nearby with giant daffodils on theirs, which is so-so. I saw one once with three foot high puppies on it. 😱

The left hand navigation button on our Samsung TV remote isn’t working, which is making life difficult (in the small inconveniences sense). I’m getting by with a combination of the Samsung and AppleTV remotes. I wish the AppleTV one wasn’t so tiny as it disappears into every nook and cranny. Ideally I’d glue it to a big piece of wood like petrol station toilet key so its easier to find, but DH would go mad.

MissConductUS · 09/10/2020 22:37

Something odd has happened on the deck. I found a cat burrito on a chair.

I think I might go to the garden centre tomorrow.

I thought I had accidentally thrown away a card from ParcelForce with a tracking number on it. But I hadn’t. It was on the top of the bookcase.

orangejuicer · 10/10/2020 01:23

I'm wondering whether to go for a walk tomorrow morning or have a lie in (toddler unsettled, lie ins are scarce)

Frownette · 10/10/2020 02:56

I got really tired after I ate yesterday evening and fell straight asleep.

Just woke up, think I won't be able to get back to sleep now :(

BillywigSting · 10/10/2020 06:45

I had some of the soup I made the other day for dinner last night with a buttered roll. Very nice it was too.

Ds woke up at the same time as me today which is quite nice because it means I get to see him for an hour or so before I head off to work. He'll be in bed (or he should be) when I get home.

My heating has clicked on. I have a very creaky radiator.

Spudlet · 10/10/2020 07:29

@MissConductUS It’s a - wait for it, wait for it - purrito! GrinGrinGrin

I’ll get my coat...

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/10/2020 09:58

spudlet Grin

The sky looks rainy here.
I've already done half of my weekly cleaning - only the bathroom's left.
I needed to phone DMil care home to find out about the current rules for visitors and relay this information to DH. Which I have done, yay.

HA! I actually spit up some coffee I laughed so hard when I read this.

I think you have a potential career in standup @Spudlet

My cat keeps standing in my head. He’s quite old and can’t sheath his claws properly.

Imissmoominmama · 10/10/2020 10:58

*on my head- in my head would be tricky.

Squirrel26 · 10/10/2020 11:13

Got the quote for scaffolding. It is expensive, but not as expensive as I was afraid it might be. It’s going up on Monday. Must warn neighbours...

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/10/2020 11:32

DD is back with all the ingredients she needs for brownies (400 g of bitter chocolate, 6 eggs etc.) It's a good thing for me that I don't like brownies.

@spudlet Grin
Good, very good.

Omg my sleep patterns, someone has done my washing up from last night, the shame. I curled up into a tight little bundle after eating, woke up for a few hours early morning, then went fast back to sleep.

Frownette · 10/10/2020 12:10

This is verging on exciting, but I've only ever bought beauty boxes before but branched out into a book box.

So I got a book, sheet face mask, scented tea light, 2 tea bags, and a bar of chocolate. Very happy with my haul.

There was apparently a troll on here early hours, something about drinking whilst in charge of children, I'm no good at spotting them I took it seriously.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 10/10/2020 12:17

My favourite spider has disappeared. She lived in the corner of the en suite and she had the usual four legs on her right side but only two on the other, but she never complained and just kept spidering on. I recently noticed that the spider in the corner now has the full compliment of legs so I can only assume she either chased off or ate the first spider.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/10/2020 13:00

Oh that is sad.

DD's spider lived on her window sill and went through 3 stages of skin renewal (there is surely a proper English word?) until it was about the size of her palm, then it left.

I am in my big jumper and jeans, and I have just put some fleece insoles into my ankle boots. This is as it should be in October.

Frownette · 10/10/2020 15:09

I received a beautiful wool jacket through the post today. I'm hot to trot.

Pizza getting delivered soon.

My bank balance shall regret this shortly, I'll be weeping into my baked beans for a few weeks.

giletrouge · 10/10/2020 16:09

I've developed an ice-cream with hot sauce habit. Variations are salted caramel i/c with melted chocolate, strawberry Carte d'Or with hot frozen berries and elderflower cordial, and rum and raisin with hot ginger cordial.

I will keep experimenting. Someone's got to break this kind of new culinary ground, right?

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 10/10/2020 16:17

vanilla ice cream with hot amarena cherries
vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries
vanilla ice cream with hot apple compot
it has to be vanilla for me - but others have other preferences
