Curry I hope you do not mind?
I put the last message in, and didn't find a new thread. Which I found disquiting, so to calm my nerves here goes.

Update. Just attempted to make paw patrol cakes with DS'

Knelt on a bastard wasp that was on the kitchen floor. Stingy little bastard

bearlyactive · 04/10/2020 16:43

Spent today getting a head start on Xmas shopping... supposedly, at least! Now shivering in my dressing gown (with clothes on underneath!) and starting to think about what to have for dinner.

soddingkitten · 04/10/2020 16:47

@MissConductUS

I'm doing Zoom church, but occasionally peeking at MN during the musical parts.
You do know God sees everything MsConduct? Wink

I opened a tube of BBQ Pringles. Currently trying to weigh up my need for a second bowl against Sodding’s need to sleep on my lap disturbed. The Pringles are in the kitchen*, I am 3 rooms away.

  • There is a Schrodinger element to my calculations. DS2 saw me open the tube and had a small bowl too. The tube may still on the counter. Whether there are any Pringles left will only become clear when I open the lid.
soddingkitten · 04/10/2020 16:49

Undisturbed ^

ladybee28 · 04/10/2020 16:57

I've lost my toothbrush.

sueelleker · 04/10/2020 17:00

I've lost my toothbrush. If you find it, better check someone hasn't been using it to clean something filthy.

sueelleker · 04/10/2020 17:02

@soddingkitten. I know how you feel; the washing machine is bleeping at me, but I've got a very comfortable spaniel lying across me. The things we do for animals!

maggiehilltop · 04/10/2020 17:05

I decided to go for the 10x8 shed instead of the 8x 6. Mind blowing stuff.

soddingkitten · 04/10/2020 17:12

Update: DS brought me the whole tube of Pringles. The smell and shaky-tube noise not only woke Sodding, it sent him into Terminator mode. I had to put the lid back on and abandon snacking to head off a frenzy. I can loan him out if you need help managing your Pringles portion control.

ladybee28 · 04/10/2020 17:12

Luckily the only one in the house other than me is the dog, and he exclusively uses his tongue to clean filthy things Grin

But it does make it EXTRA weird that I can't find it...

MissConductUS · 04/10/2020 17:13

Indeed She does. Smile

I'm sorting through my winter running kit to see what needs replacing. An alarming number of unmatched gloves and socks are turning up. Mini black hole perhaps? BTW, the chance of there being any Pringles left closely approaches zero. It's not a binary state.

I've stripped the bed and washed the sheets. If I leave them in the dryer long enough and ignore them DH will usually just make the bed. We'll see. Wink

I keep getting an unpleasant ad about ear wax. Unnecessary.

The room is looking like a tip and I don't care.

I did some baking.

NameAChange · 04/10/2020 17:48

We did not get wet at our National Trust day out. Timed it perfectly.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 04/10/2020 17:51

Back again from my book and a sleep.
I can't decide what's worse - flour bag or a glass bottle of olive oil?

I only get ads for stairlifts, Boden and English boarding schools - I must have clicked some very odd links.

soddingkitten · 04/10/2020 17:52

I get the ear wax ad too. I lurk in Sporners Corner, so I assume google thinks I’d like it. I don’t.

forgetthehousework · 04/10/2020 17:55

We took a load of garden rubbish to the tip this morning, so when we got home we had to clean out the back of the car to get rid of all the nasty, twiggy, grassy, wet bits and mixed insect life that had worked its way round the tarp we'd carefully spread in the back; which meant that the vacuum then had to be thoroughly cleaned in case any of the insect life had survived the nozzle of death and decided to get revenge when I brought the vacuum back into the house.
No good deed goes unpunished! At least it wasn't raining.

SilkieChickens · 04/10/2020 18:04

For using up yoghurt I can recommend a kidney infection and antibiotics, was only thing that didn't make me nauseous. I must have eaten just yoghurt for 10 days. Grin

I find yoghurt is nice with honey, cereals and fruit like bananas or blueberries. You can make scotch pancakes with yoghurt, honey and fruit too www.yeovalley.co.uk/recipes/recipe/scotch-pancakes-with-yogurt-blueberries-honey/

DH has gone down to old house to plant flowers. He went to the shop and came back with just the one, a massive chrysanthemum and said he looked like a funeral director - this is so going to help sell the house. Grin

SilkieChickens · 04/10/2020 18:08

In other earth shattering news we got a Sainsburys order and I had a prawn and scallop bisque from it for lunch with lemon curd yoghurt to follow. DS and DD radied the sweets.

Got some onesies for DS and some books for DD. DD says DS is too old to wear onesies but she's older and still wears them and he wanted them.

Lazysundayafternoons · 04/10/2020 18:18

Lighting the fire this afternoon, got up fast and hit my forehead really hard off the corner or the mantel piece. Have a massive bump but no bruise.

SpeedofaSloth · 04/10/2020 18:43

I have just finished tomorrow's packed lunches.

ladybee28 · 04/10/2020 19:13

Update: found my toothbrush. It had fallen on the floor.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 04/10/2020 19:15

Ladybee28 - congratulations.

I found the backpiece of my earing, but it involved cleaning the bathroom floor.

giletrouge · 04/10/2020 19:17

Oh I'm glad the mysterious missing toothbrush has turned up. I hate losing things, drives me nuts.
I'm going to go to bed really, really early and listen to an old play on Radio 4 Extra, it's by Rose Tremain and it's got Miriam Margolyes in the star role. It's on at 8 if anyone's interested.

SpeedofaSloth · 04/10/2020 19:24

I have put the electric stove lights and fairy lights on, it's all cosy feeling now.

Helocariad · 04/10/2020 19:50

I had to go to Tesco again today because I had forgotten to buy yoghurts for the DCs' packed lunches 😔. Remembered to post a letter though and to get petrol. Also bumped into a lovely woman I used to work with and had a socially-distanced chat which was nice 😊.
