Curry I hope you do not mind?
I put the last message in, and didn't find a new thread. Which I found disquiting, so to calm my nerves here goes.

DM and I booked ahead to go to a National Trust place. It pours with rain. The tickets are non refundable.

NameAChange · 04/10/2020 10:39

The outlook worsens. The weather forecast shows the double drop of doom cloud. Apart from between 1-2 when it is a single drop of rain cloud. Best make the most of that hour. I'm trying hard not to feel disappointed...we shall go.

Crystalknobs · 04/10/2020 10:53

I’ve had a clear out of my wardrobe, taken it to cash for clothes and got the grand sum of £4 which is going in my ‘save a penny a day ‘pot .

SallySeven · 04/10/2020 10:56

I know that feeling of making the most of the cloud with a single drop time.

maggienolia · 04/10/2020 11:03

I normally have cereal for breakfast on a Sunday but had a spinach and ricotta omelette instead. It was nice.
I set up the wildlife camera in the shed to check if we have mice - we don't.
I need to hang the washing up but CBA at the moment.

soddingkitten · 04/10/2020 11:13

The firm tofu and fruit juice didn’t come in this week’s online shop. I’m going to have to make a special trip and it’s belting down here. Even Sodding won’t go out in it.

Frownette · 04/10/2020 11:29

@soddingkitten don't blame Sodding.

It's tipping it down here now as well

MissConductUS · 04/10/2020 11:30

The pie last night was a smashing success. While it was cooling DH ran out to our local posh artisan ice cream shop, called The Blue Pig for some unfathomable reason, and got a pint of French Vanilla ice cream to top it with. Magnifique!

I'm off in a moment to take DD to her job. She has to be there at 7:00 AM. She does drive, but I'd like to hang onto my car for the day. It's a good thing I'm an early riser. Smile

I’ve added a French keyboard to my phone so I can message my foreign counterpart but I keep forgetting and accidentally putting a q where I want an a...

longtompot · 04/10/2020 12:14

@FawnDrench

I heard owls hooting last night - it was lovely.

Our sunflowers really are on their last legs now.

Bought the dog a new ball and he is delighted with it.

My sunflowers have their heads hanging right down now due to massive heads full of seeds and epic amounts of rain.

I'm going to get dressed after a lazy morning and hang some wet washing on my heated airer. I will then get some beef and root veg to make a hearty beef stew and dumplings for dinner.

Champagneforeveryone · 04/10/2020 14:04

I'm just up after a night shift. DH has neglected to go to the milk machine in the odd periods where it's either stopped raining or only drizzling, and for unfathomable reasons decided to go during a monsoon period
I however am warm and dry.

tootyfruitypickle · 04/10/2020 14:08

I’ve changed my bed so it’s nice and fresh tonight and am cuddled up on the sofa in a blanket with my kindle. Happy.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 04/10/2020 14:15

We had spaghetti.
The weather is said to become rainy tomorrow afternoon. I think I'll go to my sofa with an audible book.

Asda delivery came. I questioned the driver about the lack of toblerone. Turns out I didn't order one

sueelleker · 04/10/2020 14:25

I had a pile of clothes sorted during lockdown, waiting to go to a charity shop. I had a charity bag through the door, so I've put them in there; saves me a trip.

Champagneforeveryone · 04/10/2020 14:57

I just ordered new brushes for Dog, the RoboVac

MissConductUS · 04/10/2020 15:00

I'm doing Zoom church, but occasionally peeking at MN during the musical parts.

giletrouge · 04/10/2020 15:02

We've got our click-and-collect tomorrow, so I ought to do a final tweak of the order, or we'll be groaning under a glut of overbought yoghurt. However, once again, not sure I CBA. Can I eat all the extra yog though?
Anyone got any recipes that call for plain yoghurt? Sweet or savoury? Or just ideas for using it up?

MissConductUS · 04/10/2020 15:15

My standard breakfast is plain full fat yogurt mixed with frozen cherries and raspberries and a bit of Splenda. I go through quite a bit having it every day.

Mingus briefly joined me for Zoom church, sitting on my lap and bumping my face with his head.

Frownette · 04/10/2020 15:17

I just had a bag of flour split at the self service till at the supermarket, it went everywhere.

giletrouge · 04/10/2020 15:20

Yes we both eat yoghurt for breakfast but DH has just switched from goat's to regular, I eat regular, so that's put out my buying patterns as we got the goat's more infrequently but in smaller quantities so I'm all over the place with how much we need, hence the glut. Anyway breakfast won't use up the glut I'll need to use it up in other things. Or just do fiddle with the blinking supermarket order yet again. Which would be easier but I hate doing it just to take one or two things out, so I tend to bung a whole load more things in, too.
God I'm boring myself now! 😁

giletrouge · 04/10/2020 15:21

Random 'do' in there.

giletrouge · 04/10/2020 15:21

Oh Frownette how ghastly!

MissConductUS · 04/10/2020 15:35

That's awful about the flour bag splitting. What a mess. At least it's not scarce anymore.

I had to open a new bag last night to make the pie crust and remembered how hard it was to get a few months ago.
