Go on, you know what this word means, don't you?

I really haven't just made it up.

I went to double-check before using it in an email, and, well, maybe it's not as widely understood as I thought.

But you'll know it, won't you MN?

Never heard it before. Do I really want to google or will I regret it?

Flaunch · 23/09/2020 12:10

It isn’t a real word is it?

AllPlayedOut · 23/09/2020 12:10

I've never heard of it.

safariboot · 23/09/2020 12:10

No.

TheQueef · 23/09/2020 12:10

I don't know but I like it!
Is it same as twonk?

Plesky · 23/09/2020 12:12

Nope. If I got an email referencing squonk, I would assume it's a placeholder for a word the sender couldn't remember and was planning to look up and insert before hitting 'send'. A friend used to use 'FRED' this way in university essays.

pimble · 23/09/2020 12:15

Never heard of it

HagarTheHorrible · 23/09/2020 12:17

It's to vape using a squonker, ecig with the liquid in a tank under the atomiser which you squeeze (squonk) to push the liquid up.

unmarkedbythat · 23/09/2020 12:17

LadyCatStark · 23/09/2020 12:18

Does anyone remember Call My Bluff?

I would go for this as one of the made up definitions but always got them wrong

SoUtterlyGroundDown · 23/09/2020 12:22

No idea!

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 23/09/2020 12:24

There used to be an absolutely lovely MNer whose posting name was Squonk. I met her at a couple of meet ups. I wonder where she is now.

SlopesOff · 23/09/2020 12:31

It is a very cute mythical creature, similar to the beasties on Celia Birtwell fabric/wallpaper.

Cheetahfajita · 23/09/2020 12:32

It means dirty wank.

CloudPop · 23/09/2020 12:33

It means not quite straight or lined up. "It's a bit sqonk"

MadeForThis · 23/09/2020 12:33

Nope

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 23/09/2020 12:33

I thought Rick and Morty... but that might be squonch, not sure.

52andblue · 23/09/2020 12:33

Is it a Johnson - ism, perhaps?
(wiffle, piffle, cod-Latin spiffle...)

RollerDiscoSkates · 23/09/2020 12:34

Never heard of it! Sounds like a good word though I want to know what it really means

HUCKMUCK · 23/09/2020 12:34

Nope - what do you think it means?

YesItsMeIDontCare · 23/09/2020 12:36

The squonk is a mythical creature that was reputed to live in the hemlock forests of northern Pennsylvania in the United States.

Dillydallyingthrough · 23/09/2020 12:36

Isn't it a mythical creature in America somewhere, maybe Canada?

AgnesNaismith · 23/09/2020 12:37

It’s the noise I make when I push DH’s nose in with my finger ‘squooooonk’
