I was watching Ghost last night, Sam can’t touch/pick up anything but he can sit on a chair?? Took up far too much of my time today thinking about that!

Everything in Back to the future !

SassenachWitch · 21/09/2020 14:32

😂😂 I’ve always thought the same!! How come he doesn’t fall through the chair? Then fall through the floor?

ReeseWitherfork · 21/09/2020 14:32

The Cher / Paul Rudd step sibling romance thing still bothers me in Clueless.

I’m very deep on a very emotional level, me.

SassenachWitch · 21/09/2020 14:34

Why didn’t Rose move over? Plenty of room for Jack to hop on!

MrsWhites · 21/09/2020 14:35

@SassenachWitch we clearly think along the same lines! I also think Rose was a selfish cow for taking up the whole door...surely they could have topped and tailed!

Cinderella - why didn't the glass slipper disappear at midnight?

DurhamDurham · 21/09/2020 14:45

Someone told me it was because it wouldn't have stayed afloat with two people on it. Maybe that's rubbish and they just said that to make me feel better. It didn't Grin

BusySittingDown · 21/09/2020 14:46

Also Cinderella - if he was so in love with her, why didn't he recognise her face?

BusySittingDown · 21/09/2020 14:48

Why couldn't they take it in turns? She has a go on the raft, then he does.
Sugar00 · 21/09/2020 14:49

When they brush their teeth with no foam or spitting.

Marisishidinginmyattic · 21/09/2020 14:49

Oooh yes. Gross gross gross. And what happens after the inevitably break up? They’re family! Bleurgh.

Kanaloa · 21/09/2020 14:49

In the Parent Trap, why didn’t the parents just share custody of their kids? Why would they take one each then totally pretend the other didn’t exist? I’ve never heard of a custody agreement like that in my life.

MrsWhites · 21/09/2020 14:51

@Kanaloa yep the parent trap one gets me too. Imagine getting divorced and deciding which kid you will get!

Cinderella - why didn't the glass slipper disappear at midnight?
And if it fit so perfectly why did it fall off in the first place Hmm
phatsandsmall · 21/09/2020 15:07

@BusySittingDown hilarious 😂

ShopTattsyrup · 21/09/2020 15:11

We were watching Ratched on Netflix last night, 5 episodes in and that woman has never finished a martini before getting up and leaving the bar/restaurant - I don't know why she bothers ordering them to be honest!

In literally every house invasion / horror film. Leave. The. House. And. Call. The. Police!!

DurhamDurham · 21/09/2020 16:12

@BusySittingDown Good point well made Grin

BusySittingDown · 21/09/2020 16:30
Grin

Also, no one ever pays for their drinks in a bar.
They sit down at the bar, bar person serves them straight away (that's another thing - I always wait ages to get served, never happens in films), they'll say "whiskey" or whatever. Bar person dumps in in front of them and they down it.

You never see them fumbling for change or messing with the chip and pin machine!

Marisishidinginmyattic · 21/09/2020 16:36

I hate it when they arrange a date in some big dramatic moment. "Tonight?" "Tonight!" And walk off on with their day. Tonight? What time? Where? Are we meeting there or travelling together? Food?

They don't arrange anything!

And also, when they hang up without saying bye.

cheesecrack · 21/09/2020 16:44

Anything to do with pregnancy or childbirth is always wrong in films.

Always rushed in to hospital after waters break. Always on her back screaming.

I don’t know anyone in RL that had that type of birth.

AnnaSW1 · 21/09/2020 16:45

Same as @SassenachWitch.

00100001 · 21/09/2020 16:47

Titanic is the world's looooooooooongest movie , and they couldn't have a tiny scene where they try and share that plank, but it sinks,so Jack gives it up for her???

SageMist · 21/09/2020 16:53

Anything with computers and set in the 'present day' is always wrong.
I cringed at The Net -1995, Sandra Bullock film - when it came out.
Most movies with any kind of email or search engine use are painful for IT workers (like me).

DurhamDurham · 21/09/2020 16:59

No one ever goes to the loo in films. Unless it's to be attacked and have their colleague run in to save them. I know no one wants to see someone on the toilet but we could at least see that they go.

TheOrchidKiller · 21/09/2020 17:05

I agree with the childbirth scenes being too quick & too shouty.

Also, when there's a newborn baby they show a 3 month old with a bit of a wet head.

Any scenes involving a baby in a pram are suspicious. You can tell the pram is empty by the way they push it.

Babies where they use a doll wrapped in a blanket. No one wraps a real baby up that tightly so that its face is hidden.

Any scene where the police turn up at a suspect's house & they don't lock the police car. Talk about not following their own crime prevention advice!
