Things in movies that don’t make sense...

I was watching Ghost last night, Sam can’t touch/pick up anything but he can sit on a chair?? Took up far too much of my time today thinking about that!

Speaking of pregnancy,Soaps are especially bad for this.

I always thought the Monica and Chandler baby storyline was dodgy as fuck. It makes me really cross actually.

The mum was SO unintelligent that she thought she could conceive in a way that wasn't possible. She couldn't even understand there were two babies - yet she simultaneously had the mental capacity to give her children away.

Then there isn't even a hint that it is difficult for her to watch her brand new babies being taken right away moments after giving birth - whereas they at least suggested Phoebe was emotional at giving up her babies.

And yes, I know, I KNOW it's a sitcom, but as someone who's been through the mill of infertility, I painfully wish that writers were more responsible and informed on some things. Its such a ludicrous fantasy that ignores anything like the realities of adoptions and surrogates, and it leads to people in real life assuming that its all just rosy.

On the pregnancy theme...

Prem babies esp soaps. Comes really early, decent size and no long term issues. There was a thing in EastEnders where the Grandad was allowed to hold the prem baby in his outdoor coat. Also babies are always in a room alone, no nurses. Having had a baby in NICU, even when they didn't think he'd survive, we didn't get a room to ourselves and is have freaked if the nurse had left him alone for so long. Charity in Emmerdales baby is a similar age to mine, and he was in hospital a similar time and it annoyed me so much.

This happens in every horror film, the killer always does the slow menacing walk whilst the victim runs away but yet they always manage to catch them???
