I don't mind Don't Stop Me Now by Queen, but I get irrationally angry every time someone asks for it on the radio 2 all request shows. It's so fucking unoriginal! I wish the producers would refuse songs like that.

I like pretty much every song mentioned here apart from Mr Brightside and Imagine. I don't think this thread is for me :-)

It's not the song usually, it's the bad karaoke version by someone supported usually by Louis Walsh or Simon Cowell. Little Mix or Westlife to give two examples.

I’ll be missing you - can’t think who sings it but was very popular when I was in school.

Can’t stand that dance monkey song, haven’t been listening to the radio in my car so forgot about it, been walking and cycling haha, lockdown got me all in a timewarp

I was tempted to start a thread on this earlier in the week...radio 2 played The Bangles Eternal Flame & I had to turn it off!

I don't get the buzz about Mr Brightside at all. It's a song that doesn't go anywhere. I remember the first time I heard it, in a bar where everyone was going bonkers because it was on, and all I could think was 'meh'.

Anything by Jess Glynne. I absolutely cannot stand her voice. It sounds so strained and like she's screaming for the high notes, and she uses a ridiculous amount of vibrato. I particularly detest the take my hand song that they use for those holiday adverts.

Likewise Sam Smith. Although if I was forced to sit and listen I'd pick him any day over Jess Glynne.

Come on Eileen.....family thinks its funny to play it, or worse, stop my playlist and sneak it on.
There are no words strong enough to describe how much I hate it.

Anything by Adele or Ed Sheeran. Just a snooze fest.
