Just read online the awful news that she has advanced breast cancer....poor girl...shes only 38 years old.

Bloody hell thats awful!

Very sad news, bastard bloody cancer.

Awful that her privacy was invaded by someone posting online that she'd been seen in hospital, the fuckers.

God, why can;t people's private medical issues stay private? Massive shame on the person who posted seeing her in hospital!

That is terrible, both the news and that she had to announce it. So young.

So she has been bounced into announcing her illness in preference to being the subject of speculation, using up valuable energy both physical and emotional.

So sad.

I was just reading about this and that someone was about it ‘out her’. Nosey stalkers. Like everyone else I wish her well and I hope she is left alone.

Jesus, have people no sense of decency anymore? as if someone suffering from cancer isn’t going through enough! How dare anyone think it’s right to announce they saw her in hospital. Absolute dickhead. Who reared them?

How sad that she has felt forced into going public by some low life.

38 is so young to have such an agressive form of the disease.

Poor Sarah. I’m such a huge girls aloud fan and I’m really shocked by this. I hope she is receiving lots of love and support and wish her the best in overcoming this.

Sickening she was forced into this - she apparently only found out it had spread a week to so ago, and although not a doctor I assume this doesn’t have good implications and must be devastating - so this invasion of privacy is the last thing she needs.

It's terrible that she's been forced to announce this. I've spent most of this year battling breast cancer and it's hard enough without having to tell the world. I've gone through my battle without telling anyone apart from those who really needed to know. My battle is won (for now and hoping it stays that way) but I'm still reluctant to tell people.

My thoughts are with her and I hope she's able to fight a good fight.

I'm so pleased for you and wish you continued good health. My mum had a double mastectomy, chemo and radio three years ago.... so far, so good. 🤞

I don't know anyone who saw that she had been in hospital. I doubt many would have known if she had chosen not to announce it.
I vaguely remember her from one of the girl groups.
Such a shame, I hope she has support from family and friends.

I have just seen this, it's awful, and Stage 4 as well. I can't believe it actually (and I say that as someone who had breast cancer in her thirties), I don't know why but this has shocked me a bit
