If your electrician already stole the money, then why are you paying him/her again?
If you don't think the electrician had access to it, then the other person took it. Has he got form for this type of thing? Drug user/gambler? Get it back.
Where was it? In your purse?
£750 is a large bill for an electrician. Presumably you own, rather than rent and had some major work done. Can you release equity on your home if you need cash generally?
He didn't steal it.
To clarify.
Electrician did works around one month ago. He said he wanted paying in cash. As we are shielding I transfered the money to DC'S dad and asked him to draw it out for me.
I put it in an envelope on the table.
That was the last time I saw it.
Since then a different electrician (arranged by my landlord and not by me) came to change the transformers in the lights.
So I'm thinking either I've misplaced it (have autism so I'm clumsy, could be possible but unlikely)
Or dc has moved it somewhere.
Or dc's dad took it that same day.
Or the other electrician took it. But I was watching him the whole time.
In the beginning I didn't register that it was actually lost. Over the weekend my mum has come and had a thorough look with me. And we cannot find it at all. It's finally sinking in that it's lost.
The money was for some electrical work to do with the oven and the oven was replaced.
