Crying Laughing at Frasier

I watching the episode where Frasier ends up on a date with the new guy at the station who he thought he was setting up with Daphne. I’m watching it with 16 yo DS2. We always stick an episode on when there’s nothIng else on.

It may be 25 years old but it still holds up. It’s all 90s, autumnal and cosy (I know..shoot me)

Niles' bedtime routine, when he had to share a room with Frasier, with the air purifier, the eye mask and the rainforest water sound effects. Martin had kicked him out of his room after he got up to go to the loo during the night and when he went back to bed, Niles had re-made it.

Another hilarious set of Misunderstandings one I watched the other day was the Halloween party where Roz finds out she's pregnant but Niles thinks Frasier got Daphne pregnant. Daft and hilarious!

Daphne and Martin watching Frasier sing Buttons & Bows on tv cracks me up.

I like the one where Frasier goes on teen scene and they rip him apart until Kirby comes to his rescue.

And the Christmas one where nile’s cards have been cancelled and his phone cut off etc, and when he and frasier go to the mall to buy presents for Frederic a man sells frasier the presents he’s bought from the science shop for some exorbitant amount and Frazier’ says “Niles, give the man a cheque.” .

I own them all and watch them regularly.

And I will often say to my DP (who hasn’t watched them,) there’s an episode of Frazier where....” and he says “of course there is.”

The episode where Niles becomes cork master is a favourite of mine, and that scene where he introduces his dog to the family has me sobbing with laughter.

I used to watch it in the gym every morning and would be giggling away on the treadmill.

Niles rushing around and then suddenly slowing down, when he realises he's running with scissors.

And Frasier, Martin and Daphne all think she's a reincarnation of Maris. Someone puts a ramekin on her head to one side like a fascinator and the likeness is complete. And Niles has NO control over the dog at all (just like with Maris!)

Bebe the devil-agent marrying the Texan and trying to give up smoking. I adored Bebe - best minor character ever!

Frasier is now trending on Twitter because Richard Osman has been watching it 😆

The one with Derek. Jacobi is my absolute favourite I clap with joy when it comes on ch4 .it is hilarious.

A Christmas episode where Frasier meets a Jewish love interest and her mother comes to visit but Niles is cast as Jesus in a nativity or something similar and he turns up at Frasier's unannounced and Frasier shouts "JESUS!!" And has to style it out 🤣🤣🤣 I can picture it in my head right now but I've had a couple of wines tonight so not doing the episode justice!

I love that one...is it the same one with Frasier having to pretend the ham he is cooking is brisket and it never being ready for the Jewish Mamma to try

and the row they have...daughter and mother, "no it's fine we're practically done" as the Cranes are all embarrassed and trying to get away, and the repeat when Frasier and Martin row later "we never should have tried this, we're not Jewish"

I think the foamyfoam episode is my favourite, "Niles.......NILES?????" and that face as he leaves the bathroom!

or maybe the Niles solo one...apparently Kelsey Grammer was carted off to the BettyFord clinic or similar so David Hyde Pierce had to carry the can!!

and the Patrick Stewart ones where everyone apart from Frasier knows he is being lined up as more than a friend!

Where do you find the episodes OP? It appears you can't watch them on catch up (channel 4) I want to binge it too.

Personally I set my BT telly box to do series record, but not everyone has that capacity.

For American TV, I love the whole classic British farce style they do.

Aren't they supposed to be reviving Frasier?

Valentine's Day episode, Niles setting the sofa on fire is still one of my favourite comedy moments ever.
The trip to the ski lodge with all the sexual tension and mistaken identity.
The episode where Martin moves in with Niles and is convinced Niles is trying to kill him.

An episode where Frasier is in high umbrage about something and decides to address his radio audience but gets cut off mid sentence. "I want you all to know, I am not a Man".

It’s brilliant I love it. Shall try to get ds to watch it once he gets bored of Friday Night Dinner (also very funny)

Like the best of comedies even if it has aged with some of the lines/subjects it doesn’t matter. The characters are not one joke characters, the interactions, the delivery, the acting, the chemistry all add to the jokes.

Seinfeld, OFAH, Fawlty Towers, Curb Your Enthusiasm, One Foot in the Grave have all aged in some way but all still absolutely brilliant because of the characters

I love it so much that when I first met DP, I told him about it. A few days later he sent me an audio clip of him reading some of the lines - that when I knew he was the one.

It’s pure Frasier gold, and I love the whole premise of something being wonderful until you’re denied something that buoy perceive as possibly better.

The one where the new jockeys The Chicken and The Egg keep prank calling Frasier. Frasier singing whilst stamping like a chicken in his bathroom.

The one where their high school bullies turn out to be the plumbers who come to fix Frazier’s toilet. The bit with Nikes running because he’s flushed one of the brother’s head down the toilet is hilarious.
