New Jersey woman, 25, is arrested after 'attacking recent liver transplant recipient, 54, in Staples store and breaking her leg' when she was asked to wear her pulled-down mask over her mouth

Terri Thomas, 25, charged with aggravated assault in July 29 attack at Staples in Hackensack, New Jersey
Thomas is accused of knocking down Margot Kagan, 54, during argument over face mask at Staples store in Hackensack on July 29
Attack was caught on surveillance video, which shows woman identified as Thomas throwing Kagan to the floor after brief exchange
Kagan, who underwent liver transplant four months ago, broke her left tibia and required surgery to put steel plate in her knee

Hard to take the moral high ground when you’re fighting a stranger in a shop...

I'm still really upset about the mask thing and no longer being allowed to wear my visor. I work from home and my 4 hours a week was the only social contact I had with adults outside my family some weeks. And that's gone.

I have decided that I will continue to wear a visor while shopping - although I just can't wear a mask, visors are fine and they're better than nothing. But we have a high percentage of covid-police round here so we'll see how long that lasts.
@TheOrchidKiller, our Council have a similar approach to toilets. Rather than open them they expect that visitors who have driven across London and spent a small fortune on food and drink in our shops and takeways, should go home if they need a toilet.

In better news, rather excitingly, 30 people have been resurrected in the Borough in the last fews days. Our Sad Death rate is much improved.
Wow reincarnation in practice!

@SockYarn I don't understand the problem with visors. In some ways better than a manky mask surely? I know the studies show they don't protect the wearer but i thought the point of masks was to protect others.

In other mask news we illadvisedly visited an underground cavern yesterday. Had to mask which was expected. However had not allowed for the effect on my glasses particularly with the temperature difference. So steamed up I almost fell down a flight of stairs as I couldn't see it. I can see a flurry of tripping and slipping claims in general as a result of mask wearing. This also won't be popular as even if defended it costs money. Still apart from this had a good day out.
