If you live by the sea in the UK, where do you live?

And would you recommend it?

There are possible life changes ahead, and I could fulfil my dream of living by the sea.

I don’t want to end up in a holiday resort, though.

Any suggestions would be most welcome. TIA

@Buttybach that's my old beach, I grew up in rhoose, school in Barry. I do miss the coast and loving these ideas.

Another Gower peninsula dweller here... lots of big and small beautiful beaches near me. Feel like I'm permanently on holiday!

I live on the East coast of Scotland in Fife with many beautiful beaches in either direction. Our High Street is dire but we’re close enough to Edinburgh not to need to ever go there and the beach is a 5 minute walk away and is gorgeous all year round. We go there daily and there’s no better place for fresh air and beautiful walks or runs.

Aberdeen. City, airport, all the shops you could need, jobs..... and a great beach

@Skyla2005 the beaches in North Norfolk are fabulous. We stayed in Wells-next-the Sea one year and the sheer size of the beaches took our breath away.

Unfortunately, so do the house prices! Our end of terrace 4 bed didn't trigger stamp duty.
