Cannot wait

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 03/07/2020 07:29

So excited to see original NY cast- esp Lin Manuel Miranda.

DD crazy about it-have seen it 3 times on West End.

My absolute fav is King George Third-to my daughters dismay-but the lyrics to his "You'll be back" are so so clever.

Really looking forward to it.

MsMarvellous · 03/07/2020 07:31

Cannot wait. Been in the calendar since the day it was announced!

Ronia · 03/07/2020 07:37

I'm so excited! Big Saturday night planned watching it. Looking forward to seeing Miranda in role (I saw the show in London)

reluctantbrit · 03/07/2020 07:37

Is it just on today or can I also watch it later? DD can’t make it so I wonder if I need to download it.

Dozer · 03/07/2020 07:38

Excited to watch this with the DC, who know the soundtrack from me playing it in the car.

KenAdams · 03/07/2020 08:22

Frozen 2 will be on there as well

CormoranStrike · 03/07/2020 08:32

I’ve bought Disney Plus just for this!

Montysmam1 · 03/07/2020 08:48

DD and I really looking forward to it!

StoorieHoose · 03/07/2020 08:56

I'm waiting on DD to wake up so we can watch it. We saw it in the West end a couple of years ago so can't wait to see it again

LBOCS2 · 03/07/2020 08:58

I've got a busy day today so I was genuinely considering watching it as soon as I got up this morning. I think I'll enjoy it more if I wait until I have time though.

I've seen the London production twice, and was considering getting in a third when coronavirus hit, I'm looking forward to seeing this cast.

AuntieMarys · 03/07/2020 09:01

Can you just get Disney for a month?

LemonBreeland · 03/07/2020 09:01

Can't wait to finish work for the day and watch this.

RatInADollhouse · 03/07/2020 09:01

Jonathan Groff ❤️❤️❤️

tiredanddangerous · 03/07/2020 09:02

I’m planning on watching later. I’ve never seen it before...is it ok for a 10 year old? She does love a musical!

LonginesPrime · 03/07/2020 09:03

Thanks for the intel, OP - fantastic news (despite the fact so much of my money is tied up in postponed tickets for the DC, dammit!).

YerAWizardHarry · 03/07/2020 09:04

@tiredanddangerous its technically a 12 I think, theres an F bomb in there. Also reference to things like affairs

YerAWizardHarry · 03/07/2020 09:04

@AuntieMarys I think they have a 1 week free trial. You could also sign up and cancel after a month, you aren't tied into a contract

Flamingolingo · 03/07/2020 09:05

I think it’s ok, but depends on your views on language. There is one instance of fuck (two more are censored), and the word bastard features repeatedly. The minimum age for the theatre is (I think) 10. I may allow my 6yo to watch as he loves the soundtrack. But he hasn’t picked up on the language yet. I’ll have to actually watch the show first to decide if it’s visually suitable. Though i suspect his attention span might not last the 2.5 hours

Talisin · 03/07/2020 09:11

Can’t wait! At work now (listening to soundtrack) but have a time booked with a friend this afternoon so we can watch it together while virtual fangirling. Have seen it in the West End 4 times and so looking forward to seeing LMM in the role.

To those that asked: It’s on Disney permanently so no hurry (except you should) and yes, you can just get Disney for a month.

GreyGardens88 · 03/07/2020 09:13

I'm annoyed Disney + removed the free trial just before they dropped this. Can I pay one month then cancel?

Whattodo121 · 03/07/2020 09:15

So excited! Seen it twice in West End, been backstage and everything - just totally obsessed 🌟 DH is on nights so we’re watching at 5pm tonight with takeaway pizza before he goes to work!

Talisin · 03/07/2020 09:19

@GreyGardens88 try d/l the app and see if it offers you the free trial signing up through that. It did for me this morning when I went to sign in on my iPhone this morning. Otherwise yes, you can cancel after one month.

tiredanddangerous · 03/07/2020 09:28

I’m not too worried about an f bomb or 2. I think we’ll give it a go later! Thanks for the replies.

MummaGiles · 03/07/2020 09:30

Was supposed to see it in the west end early this year but Covid meant it was cancelled. Am very excited. I love You’ll Be Back too - such a clever song, like a scorned lover.
