In the different one, @petalpower which has got busier and more full of Covid patients. And not enough staff. Felt quite unsafe today. Tried to do my best, but felt it wasn't enough.

Flowers Bits.

SoMuchToBits · 10/12/2020 22:22

Don't worry. Going to spend a bit of time with ds now. Then day off tomorrow. Smile

Take care of yourself SoMuch.

bucketofcoffee · 10/12/2020 22:55

I'm so pleased to have found this thread again. Thank you for creating the scenes; they are fantastic.

SoMuchToBits · 10/12/2020 23:03

Thank you, off to bed soon, will see what I can do next week! Smile

@SoMuchToBits sending you lots of good wishes, hope you are having a good long sleep and that today is relaxing and restorative. Sorry work is so hard.

FuzzyPuffling · 11/12/2020 07:32

I'm so sorry work is so difficult for you SoMuch. Sending you kindly thoughts and prayers for some relief, and a huge thank you for the joy of Playmoland.

SoMuchToBits · 11/12/2020 08:33

Feeling better today, and ds has offered to drive me to the hairdressers (I usually get the bus). As it's raining, I'm rather pleased about this! I'm enjoying a nice Brew with Norman at the moment. Smile

Enjoy your haircut, I hope it is a good one!

FuzzyPuffling · 11/12/2020 09:01

Very very envious of a haircut. Not had mine done for almost a year. I look like a Neanderthal. Do playmo do neolithic people???

SoMuchToBits · 11/12/2020 10:29

Haircut was great, as was the chauffeur service from ds. Playmo have made some stone age sets in the past...

I especially love the "set with mammoth" In these strange days, who doesn't need a mammoth?! 😁🐘( No mammoth emojis. What an error)

SoMuchToBits · 11/12/2020 13:42

We don't have a mammoth! Shock Or even an elephant...

OP posts:
petalpower · 11/12/2020 14:08

Well one must be purchased SoMuch. You never know when you’re going to need an elephant or mammoth!

AvengingGerbil · 11/12/2020 14:48

Ooh, you definitely need the Woolly Mammoth with Baby! No home should be without one.

I haven't had a haircut since August 2019. I meant to get one at Christmas last year and failed to get an appointment, and then it was cold and wintery, and then it was covid. I'm learning how to use hairpins and put it up, but mostly I look like an ageing Pippi Longstocking.

SoMuchToBits · 11/12/2020 20:16

Not sure I'll be buying an elephant/mammoth any time soon. But you never know in the future...

I have my hair fairly short usually, but in the summer resorted to trimming my own fringe and letting the rest get out of control. I found it really hot though, as it was long on my neck, but not long enough to tie up. Especially at work during the hot weather. Really pleased to have got it cut today. Smile

So lovely to see you back @SoMuchToBits

Hope work isn't too bad over the weekend Thanks

SoMuchToBits · 12/12/2020 20:19

Thank you! It was pretty bad today. Very busy, very understaffed, verging on unsafe. Tomorrow will probably be similar. But then I have 3 days off. Smile

SoMuchToBits · 13/12/2020 20:23

Bit better today! Still very busy, but knew the patients a bit better having been there yesterday, and was working with a fantastic colleague which made a big difference. Smile

Tomorrow I'm going to put up some Christmas lights (I'm behind the Playmo people!) and do a few other things. Hope to make a scene on Tuesday. Smile

And the other thing that was brilliant today - had a text from ds at the end of my shift offering to pick me up in the car (it was raining, so very much welcomed) and then cooked me a lovely roast dinner. Smile

I like the sound of your ds. Is this general helpful niceness a result of his having been brought up amongst playpeople?

SoMuchToBits · 13/12/2020 22:00

I'm not sure, Countess. I've always tried to bring him up well, communicate well etc, and that seems to have worked. But maybe growing up with Playmo people also helps as they are happy and helpful. Who can tell?

Bloodybridget · 14/12/2020 04:15

So glad your DS is being fantastic and doing lifts and cooking, SoMuch. Also that you got a haircut. DP does mine with the clippers (but won't let me touch hers), she tries very hard but is not, shall we say, salon-trained. I listen out for her muttered comments as she works: 'Oh dear!' has been heard more than once.

SoMuchToBits · 14/12/2020 14:02

Haha, Bridget that reminds me of earlier in lockdown when all the Playmo people were experimenting with home haircuts and hair dye!

I'm having a day chilling a bit, as am quite tired. I've put up my outdoor lights and have been into town for a few bits and to return some library books. Going to wrap some presents this afternoon. Ds is out sailing today, so I can wrap his presents while he's not here! Smile
