Here it is Smile

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/tough-love-my-wife-insists-on-social-distancing-during-sex-r5kl2dv2l

Q. My wife and I are both key workers. I am a delivery driver and she is a care worker. We both strictly adhere to the social distancing measures at work, but my wife also insists on this at home. We eat in different rooms, watch TV separately and have separate bedrooms. This week I convinced her that lovemaking is vital for us. She has reluctantly agreed providing I meet five criteria: 1) I wash my hands. 2) Wear a mask. 3) No kissing. 4) She keeps her back to me. 5) It is completed as quickly as possible. Surely this is taking things a bit far?

"Even though your email has prompted a mental image I could have done without in these strange times: that PPE could be remotely kinky. Thanks for that one. It did at least make me laugh. And then feel weird again. Which pretty much sums up the cycle of life for many of us right now."

Dad is going home this afternoon with serious antibiotics. Good day all round.

Brilliant news.

Good lord..
( the farmer)
What a horrible thing to do..I’m just so glad he didn’t do to an innocent person
Some people must have really tormented minds.
I making a note of all the dementors who’ve come out fighting on the post I I posted
They are going to look bloody silly..when it dawns on them they’ve been had

DesmondTheMoonbear · 02/07/2020 15:26

To keep myself semi-sane in the midst of all this madness(though it's far from easy, especially considering today's announcement) I've been enjoying playing "Guess The Dementor" from MN posts. I'm getting pretty good at it, though unfortunately my favourite Disney character has forever been ruined for me.

DesmondTheMoonbear · 02/07/2020 15:31

Seaotterfluff I think that you must be in denial. No one could continue to work throughout this incredibly dangerous situation and survive such a lethal virus.(Ignoring the fact that half of the people I know have been working.) I hope that you can get some help to assist you in accepting your status as one of the esteemed "Sadly Dead".

DesmondTheMoonbear · 02/07/2020 15:40

And you're right. No one actually gives a shit about the people who have been working poorly paid and in poor conditions, throughout this.

Bollss · 02/07/2020 15:40

It seems to me that teachers just want ppe in order to feel safe. Why can't we just allow it and then everyone's happy and the dementoring Can stop?

Is it the government or the schools themselves who are saying no PPE? One of the teachers at our school is wearing a mask indoors.
RubberDinghyRapids · 02/07/2020 15:41

Now, now Trust. You know that's not how it works, you naughty little pixie. Goalposts must be moved every two weeks to keep everyone on their toes and virtues signalling clearly.

Bollss · 02/07/2020 15:43

I don't think anyones forbidding it. I think the guidance says something like it's not neccesary. But who's going to give a shit if they turn up kitted up? I wouldn't.

Rapids yes that's true, allow PPE and then it'll be something else!

RubberDinghyRapids · 02/07/2020 15:43

For those with school aged children, I've just had an email from DDs nursery about their holiday club provision. Irrelevant for us but thought you might want to know there are plans afoot in some childcare providers.

CruCru · 02/07/2020 15:45

Hmm. I've had a quick nose at the stuff about the schools' guidance. There's a thing in the Times about it which says that "School leaders described the guidance as mind-boggling and unrealistic".

You think? I very much doubt that it would make any difference to most of them myself. Many are eager to get back, have missed the students and know that the students need their education. Some would be fine with masks although I am guessing this would be a small proportion. The rest would start making other demands - anything to avoid going back.

And the longer they are off the harder it will get to go back for teachers and kids. Once they are back - they will mostly be fine.

RubberDinghyRapids · 02/07/2020 15:45

Trust personally I think they should sent the children through a sheep-dip of detail before and after school. Just to be safe. If you could chuck in some nit lotion all the better.

Drivingdownthe101 · 02/07/2020 15:46

Yes the nursery my DD’s went to are running their holiday club ( they take children up to 8 years old in the summer). Mine usually do a few days but as they’ve been in school and I don’t really need the childcare I thought I’d leave the spaces for those who need it. Our school is staying open for keyworker children over the summer which surprised me a bit. I think they’ll also take non keyworker children whose parents need the childcare if they have space.

RubberDinghyRapids · 02/07/2020 15:47

DETTOL even

Bollss · 02/07/2020 15:47

@IAintentDead only based on the school guidance thread. That seems to be what most want. I know that MN doesnt always represent real life!

I do think once you're back out in the big wide world things seem a lot more "normal" and less scary.

Haha!! Yes that sounds much safer!!

They’d be told they could go in hazmat suits and still move the goalposts.

IAintentDead · 02/07/2020 15:48

@countrygirl99
Great news

Teateaandmoretea · 02/07/2020 15:50

I hope they don’t have to wear hazmat suits, I’ve bought school uniform Grin

HeadSpin5 · 02/07/2020 15:52

@IAintentDead I am clinging desperately to the hope that you are right, and that the ‘teachers’ on here (or even retired teacher ffs) do not represent the majority of teachers.

@TrustTheGeneGenie I agree about PPE but I very much doubt it’ll be enough to satisfy those on here. There’ll be something else. I love how it in May it was all ‘wait for September, all back by a June is too soooooon’ and now a September isn’t good enough either despite the huge reduction in sadly deaths. Appreciate you keep trying though - tbh I genuinely can’t bear reading particular dementors’ posts so just scroll on by...

Bollss · 02/07/2020 15:58

@HeadSpin5 I don't know why I bother to be honest it's like talking to a brick wall. I think I need to stop replying for my own sake Grin

Tbh they did say June return would never happen, and it did, so I'm not taking anything they say too seriously!
