I have just bought a Bissell crosswave, and it is amazing. I feel so organised with lovely clean floors.

What have you bought that has made a real difference to your life?

Shamelessly materialistic

I second a man’s wallet. I will never go back to a purse. I do have pots of loose change everywhere though.

BalloonSlayer · 28/06/2020 16:50

My Dyson cordless was playing up, kept losing charge, I was so cross I resolved to buy a new hoover (but not a bloody dyson). On an impulse googled the problem and a very nice chap on a YouTube video suggested buying a new battery from amazon at £35 and replacing it myself. I did so, it was easy peasy and as I got a stronger battery than before it hoovers much better and lasts longer.

I am not convinced it's not going to catch fire and burn the house down but so far so good (and actually the charger plug doesn't get hot any more which it used to).

I now have what feels like a brand new vacuum.

purplecorkheart · 28/06/2020 16:51

A samung note phone. I can do everything on it, it has loads of storage and a good battery life. It has basically replaced my laptop and tablet.

Violetroselily · 28/06/2020 17:14

Samsung galaxy buds (like AirPods but for Samsung)

Complete game changer, can't believe I used wired earphones for so long

JeffVaderneedsatray · 28/06/2020 17:16

I don't know what it's called because we just call it the dibber thing but it's for rubbing in butter when you make pastry and scones.
Basically about 5 wires in an oval attached to a handle across the top.
I cannot bear the feel of butter on my fingers when rubbing in so this means I can make scones, earn the adulation of DH who would do anything for a decent scone but not make myself feel ill.
Tis a small victory but well worth the fiver it cost me.

Nosuchluck · 28/06/2020 17:18

Laser eye surgery about 13 years ago , totally life changing.I
Sky Q, I love it!

Nosuchluck · 28/06/2020 17:19

Oh and my cat, he was free of charge and has massively enhanced my life.

LazyFace · 28/06/2020 17:28

My breadmaker.
The crosstrainer that I hated for the amount of space it takes up. So handy now.

EatsShootsAndRuns · 28/06/2020 17:29

I don't know what it's called either but I have one for when my fingers cramp up and I can't make the right motion for rubbing butter into flour. Similar principle to a potato masher. Means I can still make pastry and suchlike. Smile

Oblomov20 · 28/06/2020 17:30

Jeff do you mean one of these?
Bree Drummond uses this to mix butter, make pastry.
I'm assuming it's an American 'thang'?

BlueJava · 28/06/2020 17:31

Cefaly II - an electronic device for prevention and treatment of acute migraines. Literally changed my life as I went from a chronic sufferer to almost zero migraines. (I realise that's not going to exicte everyone though)

Roomi - robot vacuum cleaner. I love the thing. Clean the room, walk out and let it do its thing!

Re-organised the swing cupboard in the kitchen to pull out cupboards and designed the shelving (which is movable) to fit spices, cereal packs etc. I don't have to re-organise stuff now to make things fit.

Straycatstrut · 28/06/2020 17:35

100% my brand new dishwasher that makes everything sparkling and dry!! Love her to pieces!

HalloumiChips · 28/06/2020 17:38

Looks like robo hoovers are winning Grin

Chickens. Been keeping them for years now but they have really changed my life. I still get immense joy collecting the eggs daily.

Mitcham deodorant 😂

Bythebeach · 28/06/2020 17:38

Dog
House with sea at end of road
Together they have changed the way we love from a typical ex city dweller to an outdoorsy, fresh air type 😂

JeffVaderneedsatray · 28/06/2020 17:41

Oblomov20 I do indeed.
That and the realisation that I could mix the eggy milk mix in with a knife until it was covered in flour was a game changer for me.
