1.5MILLION so plenty of money for the morris traveller

onceuponatimeinsuburbia · 23/06/2020 21:24

Ceilings are too low in most of the rooms, bar the 'party room, & make the rooms look dark and pokey imo. You'd end up living in that one space. I wouldn't bother. All fur coat and no knickers.

NoProblem123 · 23/06/2020 21:26

I’d never see my cat !

Persipan · 23/06/2020 21:27

Well, those people certainly like wallpaper.

Nanalisa60 · 23/06/2020 21:29

I want that house!! Note to self I must buy a lottery ticket for the euro millions on Friday!! 🤑🤑🤑

mindutopia · 23/06/2020 21:32

That's really hideous. Nope. We just bought a very nice house with 7 acres for a fraction of that. And it's at least not covered in horrible wallpaper.

wiltingflower · 23/06/2020 21:36

It's really beautiful and large but unfortunately for that price I'd prefer to buy a house in the South East, you can definitely get a super nice home for less than that or even a couple of homes across the country and have some savings left over.

WinWinnieTheWay · 23/06/2020 21:36

It's very Cheshire housewives. The wallpaper is awful.

What about The Cotswolds? It more understated and less flash.

FallingStar · 23/06/2020 21:38

I do love a bit of wallpaper!

BattyBettysBiccy · 23/06/2020 21:43

@JesusInTheCabbageVan

I do actually quite like that Grin OP, you'd have loved the thread on here about Darren Brown's house. THAT was really something.
Can you link to it? I would love to read it!
AnnaNimmity · 23/06/2020 21:43

Not to my taste at all, but nor is the town. I think the house (minus the decor) is ok though.

if I had millions, I'd buy this one in Primrose Hill (POA - if you have to ask, you can't afford).

YoBigMomma · 23/06/2020 21:47

@CheshireChav I'm in Styal!

Teawaster · 23/06/2020 21:53

I think it's awful, inside and outside

2018SoFarSoGreat · 23/06/2020 21:55

I like the wallpapers individually, but all through that house - and clashing horribly with each other - would make me feel quite ill. Maybe a plain room then a floral one would work more for me.

That orange stove is fantastic though - LOVE it.

Isn't it marvelous that there is a lid for every pot?

tilder · 23/06/2020 21:57

I have never understood the desire for beige and grey everywhere. Hideous, bland, unimaginative. Our kids will look back on the bland in horror.

Love colour and wallpaper. Most of those rooms are lovely, a few are a bit off kilter somehow. Not symmetrical or something.

CheshireChav · 23/06/2020 21:59

Hi 5 .. @YoBigMama, we should have a MN meet-up at The Clink' 🤣

Alsohuman · 23/06/2020 22:02

Oh dear, that wallpaper.

Littlebyerockerboo · 23/06/2020 22:06

Boak.

Nope. Don't like it. Hate the decor, strange layout too? You can keep it, op. No competition from me!

user1493494961 · 23/06/2020 22:06

Agree with pp, money can't buy taste, very tacky.

tara66 · 23/06/2020 22:10

Really awful!

Titsywoo · 23/06/2020 22:14

I really like it! I hate boring decor anyway - the usual greys and beiges are not my thing. I like the wallpaper in the 4th pic a lot.

Gertie75 · 23/06/2020 22:14

I like the wallpapers but then I'm not a fan of bland all over, the house is lovely but looking on Google maps the road doesn't look very nice and it has close neighbours, I'd want a few acres for that price.

SisyphusAndTheRockOfUntidiness · 23/06/2020 22:15

I like all those houses. I really don't like the decoration in the first one though, I'd have to choose some new wallpaper, remove the antlers, & get rid of the plunge pool - either install a proper pool, or more likely replace it with a gym.

Gertie75 · 23/06/2020 22:17

Same price but in a much nicer area and a lot more for your money.

Eminybob · 23/06/2020 22:20

I love it. It’s not a million miles away from me either. My first thought was how long it’d take to drive DS to school, but then realised if I had enough money to buy that house, the dc would defo be going to Kings!
