Mr Johnson looks so ill.

I abandoned the briefings early on but I was shocked to see him tonight. He looks ill and the strange manic grin makes it worse.

She comes across as very petulant

She comes across as a polititcan through and through, one that has done her homework, has prepared notes and one that can speak in whole, fully formed sentences.

randomer- Boris used to engage in the 'bantz including getting his dick out and sexually harrassing a certain member of staff at the spectator; who went on the marry Cummings.

ilovesooty · 24/06/2020 18:12

@tobee

It must be so hard for Tories to forget that Corbyn is no longer lead of the Labour Party.
I expect Johnson has no trouble remembering who the Leader of the Opposition is every Wednesday. Another mauling today. Serves him right.
SchadenfreudePersonified · 24/06/2020 18:21

Somehow I think he brings out the maternal side in some women

Quite literally!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 24/06/2020 18:27

I really wish that traditional one party governing could be suspended and that there could be a cross party collaboration working together with reasonable and credible MPs from all parties

This should have happened right from the start.

GetOffYourHighHorse · 24/06/2020 18:31

'comes across as a polititcan through and through, one that has done her homework, has prepared notes and one that can speak in whole, fully formed sentences.'

Lovely. As I said though Scotland's care home death rate is double that of England and she had a strop about 'stay alert' yet used 'stay safe', please point out the difference go on, I dare you.

'Do you criticise men in the same tone?'

Yes. Come off it, on a very unpleasant thread where Johnson has been called a lazy fat alky I think im allowed ro point out Sturgeon's petulance and angry head wobbling. You must've missed all the threads mocking Theresa May then, or is mocking policians only unacceptable to you when it's ThankyouNicola?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 24/06/2020 18:33

And is Gove the mousey little fellow

The ratty little bastard, yes.

And I don't like him either.

He's another one who has appeared to be as pissed as a newt in the HofC.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 24/06/2020 18:39

People are going for Dominic Cummings because he masterminded the Leave campaign.
He deserves a knighthood as far as I am concerned

He certainly deserves to have a sword brought sharply down on him anyway.

What ever he has on Johnson must be very, very bad - Johnson is known as a serial adulterer, a liar, a charlatan, a man who's prepared to have a reporter's legs broken as a favour to a mate (the Darius Guppy tape) - and he isn't bothered about anyone knowing this lot about him.

If he wants something kept quiet, it is much, much worse than normal people could ever imagine.

And Cummings is scum!

randomer · 24/06/2020 18:39

Gove is a coke head

@user are you able to add to the story at all? It sounds about right.

mmmm things he might want kept quiet......shall we start a book?

14/2 something to with the Royal Family.

What on earth could it be? That he's a paedophile - I imagine that's something he wouldn't get away with, but I don't think there is any evidence of that, not like rumours that used to swirl around Savile.

That he's a Russian spy? Recruited by Cummings?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 24/06/2020 18:45

He's an overweight, middle age man who's just had a new baby.

I also want to apologise because I missed a couple of adjectives when describing Johnson - "misogynistic" and "racist". Oh - also "bullying". And "greedy". And "opportunistic".

I'll let you know if I remember any more.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 24/06/2020 18:52

TBH - 'paedophile" is probably the only negative epithet I wouldn't tar him with. "Ephebophile" - possibly, but as far as I am aware there's no suggestion he targets teenagers.

But some sort of very nasty sexual fetish wouldn't surprise me, nor that he was taking kickbacks from anyone who was prepared to pay him.

When someone lies, obfuscates and prevaricates as much and as often as he does, it's hard to believe anything they sas.

B1rdbra1n · 24/06/2020 18:55

Cummings gets to act like royalty, lie through his teeth and mock the british public with blatant hypocrisy while Joris Bonson has no choice but to back him up
Joris is soooo Cummings' bitch
wot oh wot could this dirt be, it must be some sort of dirty bomb or something

Mumratheevergiving · 24/06/2020 19:07

yellowhammers A lot has changed. We are now a third country.

Oops you missed the word ‘rate’ out of your sentence.

Mumratheevergiving · 24/06/2020 19:19

Cummings wasn’t on my radar before all this but he certainly is now. I abhor the fact that Johnson put DC above the importance of public compliance with health advice. He sat in Sage meetings being briefed about how the spread of disease in Italy was exacerbated by people going to second homes and did just that! His family potentially exposed health workers in the North East to Covid 19. His wife and he deliberately misled the public about where they were. Priti had the slogan ‘Stay at Home this Easter’ on the podium at the daily briefing when he took his cock and bull ‘eyesight test’ journey to Barnard Castle. Boris lied and said he hadn’t left his families estate. Knighthood are you fucking kidding me?!

yellowhammers · 24/06/2020 19:24

Mum, I know exactly what I intended to say.
And I also think Michael Gove is doing a great job. He won't go for an extension either.

We are fortunate to have such excellent politicians who, at least listen to their electorate rather than the left wing remainers in the media.

derxa · 24/06/2020 19:35

.

Mumratheevergiving · 24/06/2020 19:38

Yellowhammers listen to the electorate? They didn’t listen to the unprecedented number of messages to MPs over Cummings (including independently my Mum & I neither of which had ever contacted an MP before). Can you really not understand why people are aggrieved?

ifeellikeanidiot · 24/06/2020 19:45

There are plenty of centrist and right wing remainers. A commitment to progressive politics through collaboration and is hardly the preserve of the left Hmm
Katharinablum · 24/06/2020 19:49

why are remainers always accused of being lefties ? Not all tories voted to leave. And what do you call the red wall constituencies who for decades were labour through and through ? You're telling me they are all suddenly free market libertarians who are obsessed with having a small state ? Doubt it and not exactly respectful towards your new bedfellows Confused

randomer · 24/06/2020 20:00

Sort of strangly fascinating to read the young Alexander lived in 10 homes during his first 10 years. Hardly a stable start. Then of course moulded by Eton ,where he reinvented himself and renamed himself. What horrors awaited this damaged 13 year old, his mother recently admitted to an institution? Still, he had Stanley, the doyenne of game shows and popular entertainment to guide him.

Peregrina · 24/06/2020 20:00

Probably not in the Tory party now. Remainer MPs were chased out of the party. Nicholas Soames - Churchill's grandson for one - for those who need a reminder about how Johnson likes to channel Churchill. Now the Parliamentary party is full of Brexiters, toadies, and apparatchiks, whose only talent is to blab the latest 3 word soundbite.

itsgettingweird · 24/06/2020 20:29

I listened to Chris Whitty.

I always listen to him. He is calm, clear and honest. What we need during a pandemic.

I want to know the truth of what our future holds. I obviously don't want to hear it because it's not good. But I'd rather have the truth and be prepared.
