Mr Johnson looks so ill.

I abandoned the briefings early on but I was shocked to see him tonight. He looks ill and the strange manic grin makes it worse.

I've honestly heard it all now. A knighthood for Dominic Cummings because he orchestrated Brexit? What has he delivered exactly? Apart from dividing a nation, the results of our exit are still to be seen. It is certainly nothing to celebrate, unless you were just hellbent on leaving the EU at whatever cost.

itsgettingweird · 24/06/2020 20:52

What I'm finding disturbing currently is his attire in PMQs.

I know it's usually a rich persons circus but he's not even trying to answer questions from anyone opposing him.

It's always same answer "everyone should agree with me. Why do people keep picking holes. People should work with me"

I've noticed more and more that he cannot at all in any way shape or form accept criticism. He even sees suggestion as criticism.

I don't see how we improve and move forward as a country if there's only one way to do it - his way. And we've seen that he doesn't always make right decisions (I a vote neither does anyone else though!)

After 4 years we should have seen these easiest trade deals in history because we hold all the cards. As it is all we are sure to see is a customs border in the Irish Sea i.e. between two parts of the UK. We are likely to see poorer food standards because of the desperation to do a deal with the US. Oh and we might well see the end of the NHS.

itsgettingweird · 24/06/2020 20:59

Wouldn't it be interesting if Boris - Cummings is actually the reverse of what we think?

I don't think we can deny Cummings is a workaholic. Perhaps Boris exploits that and actually forces him to gain data to get the job done knowing Cummings is genius enough to be able to actually do it?

Very unlikely from evidence. But maybe it's a 2 way street with them.

yellowhammers · 24/06/2020 21:26

Of course there are both right and left wing remainers and leavers.
My comment was about the media. It was quite clear.

yellowhammers · 24/06/2020 21:31

Peregrina, there are remainer MPs in the Conservative Party. My MP is one.

CRISPSWARS · 24/06/2020 21:32

I don't think he looks ill, he just looks just shit but then he always did.

He was never good looking in the first place, he's overweight, mid-50s and his personality is twatty so he is usually looking like a twat. Show me someone that isn't looking like shit with these parameters.

yellowhammers · 24/06/2020 21:36

I consider leaving the EU a cause for celebration. I accept that others will disagree.
In 7 more days it will be too late to ask for an extension.
Apparently the the second reading of the Bill seeking an extension will be on the 10th July...10 days after the final date for extending.

tumbleweed222 · 24/06/2020 21:39

I am sure his health would improve in prison, which is where he should be for his inactions in March. More deaths from his negligence that deaths caused by Fred West or Dennis Nielsen.

derxa · 24/06/2020 22:00

I am sure his health would improve in prison, which is where he should be for his inactions in March. More deaths from his negligence that deaths caused by Fred West or Dennis Nielsen. Except he didn't plan to kill people.

Peregrina · 24/06/2020 22:03

There is a time when incompetence shades into gross negligence. If Boris hadn't been so obsessed with his bongs for Brexit he might have taken note of what was happening in China and take steps to avoid it happening here.

randomer · 25/06/2020 08:40

bongs for Brexit, I could weep.

OP posts:
ssd · 25/06/2020 09:25

@derxa, he didn't plan not to.

Mumratheevergiving · 25/06/2020 09:52

Yellowhammers so very supportive of Dominic Cummings. I'm not sure the mutual appreciation is quite there, he's not exactly heaping praise on leave voters and Tory MPs here...

Spirogyra3 · 25/06/2020 10:44

There is a very interesting account of a Mr Johnson type character in the Slow Horse books by Mick Herron, I have often wondered how close to the truth they were.

randomer · 25/06/2020 12:48

I am interested in pstchology and I have done a little digging on his upbringing. I don't suppose anybody survives that without developing delusions.

Can anyone explain to me why they are not at all interested in the fact that Jeremy Corbyn broke lockdown at least twice and was photographed doing so. He is an elected member, an MP. He had no reason and no excuse.

Dominic Cummings is only an advisor.

Is it that you agree with Corbyn's politics?
Or is it one rule for the Left and another for everyone who supports the Government, or maybe only those who support Brexit.

Jeremy Corbyn is no longer leader of the Labour Party but he has a much higher public profile than Dominic Cummings and his irresponsible actions may have influenced others.

GimmeAy · 25/06/2020 13:51

Mumratheevergiving I couldn't listen to that speech because he kept tapping the podium!!! How fucking irritating.

KaptainKaveman · 25/06/2020 13:56

John Crace has him to a tee.

B1rdbra1n · 25/06/2020 14:05

he kept tapping the podium
Weird isn't it, drumming his fingers like a cat angrily twitching it's tail, as if irritated at having to explain himself about anything🤔

GimmeAy · 25/06/2020 14:09

Nerves I'd say - like a nervous twitch - not a natural speech giver. A fucking irritating one though.

Peregrina · 25/06/2020 14:13

Why is no one interested in Corbyn? Because he's history. The unelected Cummings, is the de facto Prime Minister

Tavannach · 25/06/2020 14:31

Can anyone explain to me why they are not at all interested in the fact that Jeremy Corbyn broke lockdown at least twice and was photographed doing so.

Because the photographs you're frothing about were taken on May 26 when lockdown rules had been relaxed?

KaptainKaveman · 25/06/2020 14:45

AFAIK Jeremy Corbyn hasn't got form for shagging other women while his wife underwent chemotherapy.

KaptainKaveman · 25/06/2020 14:50

Nor for referring to African people as " piccaninnies " with " watermelon smiles". And let's not even start on his anti Muslim bias, we'd be here too long.
