Mr Johnson looks so ill.

I abandoned the briefings early on but I was shocked to see him tonight. He looks ill and the strange manic grin makes it worse.

OP posts:
Devlesko · 23/06/2020 17:58

I noticed the manic grin, they all look so fake, like they don't believe a word they are saying.
Well, the proof is in the pudding, all we can do is wait and see.
I don't think he looked particularly ill though, he will have the best diet and people doing everything for him.

nocoolnamesleft · 23/06/2020 18:00

Anyone else channelling Doctor Who bringing down the PM in 6 words? (Don't you think she looks tired?)

Happygirl79 · 23/06/2020 18:07

I dont think Boris looks ill
He looks like a man totally out of his depth

UnholyStramash · 23/06/2020 18:08

I’ve not seen his image as I’m using a radio. I’m having internet connection problems and it’s fading in and out. When the PM talks he pauses in weird, unexpected places, like the end of a phrase rather than end of a clause or sentence. I keep swearing at the internet, then realise it’s the PM I should be cursing. I do that a lot too!

itsgettingweird · 23/06/2020 18:18

I thought he seemed breathless this evening.

He is ill though. Sick in the head.

Going on and on about wanting to go to pub and theatre.

That 1m+ is ok if 2m can't be done.

He better not feck off down the pub before he gets schools sorted for children and swimming pools open so those with physical disability who need swimming for exercise can get back to it.

Thelittleweasel · 23/06/2020 18:27

@randomer @Devlesko

I wish him no harm but hopefully he will realise that he cannot continue and leave the field to a more competent follower though no one in his party springs to mind.

I do wish that the parties would - in this national crisis - cooperate more

itsgettingweird · 23/06/2020 18:28

What's happening about briefings.

He blustered something but it wasn't very clear?

StealthPolarBear · 23/06/2020 18:30

They'll be happening only when they have something to announce
That worries me

itsgettingweird · 23/06/2020 18:34

SPB I thought I'd heard that and then thought I must be wrong! So just as they open most things up we are going to stop being told what's the statistics are.
Not comfortable with that - at all Hmm

iklboo · 23/06/2020 18:39

He looks like he's swimming in a river of shit with lead boots on. Nod, smile, gesture. The plebs will lap it up.

ktp100 · 23/06/2020 18:43

I can't help think that now the briefings are ending they will lie blatantly about figures to keep everyone at work for the sake of the economy.

Did anyone see the report in the Guardian last week that said there were over 1000 deaths per day for 22 consecutive days in April but they bent the figures for briefings?

I just don't trust them.

StealthPolarBear · 23/06/2020 18:45

I think he said daily figures would continue but obviously won't be presented
But they won't be held to account for what's happening, daily

Echobelly · 23/06/2020 18:46

My mum, who has CFS/ME reckons he's developing it.

itsgettingweird · 23/06/2020 18:49

Thanks SPB yes the gov.uk will still have datasets. Just checked. I hope they still do shows such as Andrew Marr and Sophie Rigby. Plus news programmes. They still need questioning.

PleasantVille · 23/06/2020 18:51

I don't think they are held to account now, the questions are woefully poor. Why do they persist in asking questions that no one knows the answer to? It's a waste of a question, they must know that we simply can't predict the future and there's no point in trying to get dates for things when we need to wait and see.
Ethicalbluey45 · 23/06/2020 18:56

Don't worry about BoJo its just sleepless nights new born baby and all it gets harder with age I suppose lol

StealthPolarBear · 23/06/2020 18:57

Very true but at least the opportunity is there to hold them to account. The fact its inadequate isn't an argument for removing the structure.

Oh :(

ElizabethG81 · 23/06/2020 18:58

Sorry, what's CFS/ME? I've been on Mumsnet too long because all I can think of is Cheeky Fucker Syndrome.

morethanafortnight · 23/06/2020 19:00

@Echobelly

My mum, who has CFS/ME reckons he's developing it.
My friend's son (early 30's) had the virus two months ago. He's still absolutely wiped out. It wouldn't surprise me at all if BJ is still in the grip of the thing.
SchadenfreudePersonified · 23/06/2020 19:03

I think he's a functioning alcoholic. And that he's managed to bluff, bully and banter his way to the top post in his party. And now he finds it's not all sipping champagne and shagging secretaries. And that he hasn't got a clue what to do. And that there are people in his own party just waiting for the optimum time to slip a sharpened blade between his shoulder blades. And he's trying to keep it together long enough to maximise his personal pay out.

And it's all getting a bit much . . .

B1rdbra1n · 23/06/2020 19:04

just sleepless nights new born baby
say wut?
you really think the PM at a time of national crisis would be on night time baby duty

Windinmyhair · 23/06/2020 19:04

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.)

StealthPolarBear · 23/06/2020 19:05

It's not funny bt I am Pmsl at cheeky fucker syndrome
Chronic fatigue syndrome for those who aren't PM

B1rdbra1n · 23/06/2020 19:05

I think he's a functioning alcoholic
I guess that explains why he's so kind to the booze industry, it's his one true love

StealthPolarBear · 23/06/2020 19:05

Thanks for putting the big words in :) forME
