Hoarder is finally decluttering whole house.... how do you stop the shame though?

So I'm a hoarder due to mh and other stuff. Finally got my mh sorted so now it's time for a new slate.

My whole tiny terrace is full of 17 years worth of childrens clothes, toys, paperwork... literally all sorts. I even have a stage1 car seat for family trips still.... my nephew is 8!

My home does not look like a tv hoarding show, but its time to get rid.

How do I stop the feelings of shame? It's so powerful... I could literally sob throughout this process.

3 bags down, eleventybajillion to go..... good job I got a skip!

I bet your heart was in your mouth watching them lift it over your car! Good to know for the next uplift that you haven't got to save a car space though. Well done, you're doing brilliantly!

You're doing an amazing job!

Having moved after eighteen years in the same biggish old house I thought I'd decluttered - I've done it at least another twenty times since then in the last year alone. Things just build up at the best of times!

Your new clutter-free life is just around your corner.

Fantastic lewis - I really love that you have a clear plan too, and that you’ve mentioned having breaks - it is so easy to burn out with this process and then it’s possible to just go right back to square one, but you sound really sensible with it - really inspiring!

@LewisFan How're you getting on?

We had one of those charity bags through the door today, so I've filled it up ready for collection... I can't believe I found stuff to go in it after my car load went to the charity shop just a few days ago, but there we are!

I've also boxed up some old DVDs to go to Ziffit and Music Magpie which will involve a nice walk to the post office and a bit of cash to go towards the bills.
