I was wondering today about a few old posters that either left or I haven’t seen in ages
Riven , eatshitderek (i think that’s what the username was) and another one I can’t remember the full name ghost something who was in temp accommodation I think ?
Does anyone else ever wonder about posters they dont see anymore

I’ve found myself wondering what happened to BertrandRussell. I haven’t seen her for a while.

There was a poster on our antenatal thread called Princess something. She posted a lot, and then vanished. We were all very worried about her.

Yes to lots of the names already mentioned. FV40 something who was going through a horrendous time with an abusive partner, I hope she managed to move on and make a new life.

not a person but a group of threads - the nobdies. Haven't seen them for ages. And BlackEyedSusan on a Christian thread too.

Outed Derek? She used to post pics of her kid, hugging the garlic bread, back in the day everyone knew her real name too.

I remember she was hacked once and they wrote awful things, I thought that was why she'd left.

I didn't realise that someone had outed eatshitderek. What a crappy thing to do.

I didn't think Derek left because she was outed.
I have a fair few of the above on FB and was elsewhere in cyberspace with a lot of them post NYE debacle. Good people.

Ghostspirit (I'm sure that was her name) also haven't seen mrskoala around she often would have threads running.

There was a series of threads on Style & Beauty that I loved called something like ‘wise and avid’ I think the poster who started it was called LetThemEatCake but there were loads of regulars on there I enjoyed reading about 😊

I think I am confusing people then. Old age.

Love these memories, I too have been here a long time (nearly 20 years), sometimes I feel a bit 'old' and wonder if I should migrate to Gransnet ... especially when some of the comments seem to sneer at anyone over 50 or 'my MIL Is ancient - she's over 60 and really can't do anything ).

Rhubarb was one of my favourites, not sure if she is here now, also the lovely Mears. Is Thomcat still around?

Mumsnet has been so supportive during all the different parenting stages (I avoid certain threads and bunfights) - I'm loving the Uni threads now. Weaning and worrying over school applications seem a lifetime away now .

Seeker about schools mainly. I don't always agree with her but she was quite calm

I was following @RainMinusBow posting about how appallingly her family were being treated by her ex. It was really awful. She hasn't posted in a while, maybe she does under another name. I hope she's okay, I wonder if she's had her baby yet.

I also worry about @DarkRiver, haven't noticed anything from her in a while. I hope she knows she's missed and her posts always added a useful perspective.

I miss Crumbs and her tales of village life and overachieving DC's. And the photos of her bedroom (that she'd lifted straight off the website of a hotel) and her house that looked like she'd taken by hiding in a bush.

She’s still a frequent poster, just under a new name. Most recently claimed to be one of the people heading Boris Johnson’s COVID task-force or something, and one of the first people in the UK to be given the COVID test (which was positive).

I’m sure the Ballerina-astronaut-neurosurgeon offspring are maintaining the sheep fairy lights for her.

I think and hope that Bert is still around under a name change. She’s one of the posters who got targeted for abuse by the Meghan Markle obsessives.

I think BertrandRussell is still around from time to time. I don’t know her, but she pops up on threads about where to live which has I’m schools and house prices, and we both bundle in to say “here”.

StealthPolarBear is still active.

I remember MaxyBrown and janx, thry both had dc slightly older than my eldest and were always offering advise for whatever stage I was panicking about. I bought a lot of children’s clothes off them too, when the MN sale boards were really busy.

I was wondering about CheefulYank too. She used to post a lot. I think she lived in Maine.
