I was wondering today about a few old posters that either left or I haven’t seen in ages
Riven , eatshitderek (i think that’s what the username was) and another one I can’t remember the full name ghost something who was in temp accommodation I think ?
Does anyone else ever wonder about posters they dont see anymore

@7ofNine yes that definitely rings a bell! As someone else posted I think the whole of Mumsnet rallied round to get things that she needed sent to her.

Has anyone mentioned Reality?

Gosh I can't believe it's been 8 years since Expat's DD died. I remember that so vividly and think of her often.

I'm rubbish with names (and nc a lot) but I always liked bibbittybobbityhat and Riven and GentleOtter as well as lots of the others mentioned here.

I liked it when you recognized lots of posters.

@Rollergirl11 I think you're referring to Trinity. She went through an awful lot in such a short period of time. I hope her and her kids are well.

I don't know her MN name but I think I know thr person whose husband died suddenly in real life. Bit of a coincidence otherwise.

She's doing well if it's the same lady.

MadameDeathstare - she was an engineer I think, possibly in America.
I haven't seen Frankel for a bit, but think she might have nc-ed. I wondered whether she ever became a dance teacher after having her baby (who is probably at school now!).

I remember a lot of these names.

I haven't seen BertrandRussell around for a while. She used to always be the one who went against the grain and/or upset the OP

I’ve been here far too long. I remember Jimjams and her insightful posts about her DS1 with autism. Many years ago she posted across the boards then Sadly retreated to the safety of the SN board.

Also Pagwatch who was so friendly and helpful and was someone who acknowledged her white MC affluence and the privilege it affords her well before it was trendy to do so.

Marslady and her sublime lemon drizzle cake.

MartianBishop even before she was MatianBishop, and her fab science experiments and the sad loss of her DH.

Hulababy and her struggle with secondary infertility. I remember when she posted the picture of her DD as the original Hulababy.

Misdee and Peter and their girls and their journey.

Oh yes and Yorkiegirl. Posts about the sudden loss of a friend’s husband who died young. Then the next thing she’s posting about her own husband dying too young.

Likewise, Trinity. One day she’s posting a lighthearted thread about her husband riding his bike without holding the handlebars and the next thing, she’s lost him.

One I remember and haven't seen a post from in years is PhyllisNights. I don't know if that's who you are thinking of @dreamingbohemian.

TheSecondComing / TSC with the bikini bottoms. Pretty sure she was involved in a scheme to feed school children over the holidays, she was a good un. Pretty sure she handed me my arse on feminism too, back when I was still wet behind the ears.

Ghost is different from ESD. Ghost moved forum. Last I heard her daughter was pregnant, daughter moved out so she got a german shepherd.

Maryz. I always felt she would just put the kettle on if we all turned up unexpected.

Hullygully was my favourite, really missed her quirky posts. Pagwatch too. They were always around when I first joined.

I miss Cogito's fantastic relationship advice. I also greatly miss someone who was very recently banned for wrongthink on FWR. Due to a malfunctioning menopause memory, I can't remember the name. They were of a great help to me when I was trying to navigate trans issues.

eatshitderek was around for a while with different usernames. You could always tell it was her because of her writing style.

I was so surprised when artandco turned out to be a fake! She totally got me!

I wonder about want2besupermum sometimes too.

I came on to say AtYourCervix and HullyGully. I remember LaQueen but she did seem unreal .
