I was wondering today about a few old posters that either left or I haven’t seen in ages
Riven , eatshitderek (i think that’s what the username was) and another one I can’t remember the full name ghost something who was in temp accommodation I think ?
Does anyone else ever wonder about posters they dont see anymore

I miss a lot of the posters on here. I've got some of them on facebook, but it's sad that we've drifted a bit and it's not the same chat. I guess it's inevitable as you go through different life stages. I'm terrible at names, though, I can't even remember the MN names of most of the people who I know in real life through MN now.

I did like @pagwatch, don't think I never met her, and I loved a lot of the people who used to post in FWR before it became so dominated by the trans stuff. I think she's still around, but I remember @annelovesgilbert because of her name. I associate her with all the great book threads.

Joycetheripper - I often wonder how she is. She had some bleeding on the brain issue and was incredibly worried about dying and leaving her 4 year old son. I always mention her on these threads hoping she will pop up or someone will tell me she is ok.

Must be 10 years ago now.

Yes ParkheadParadise is the name of the lady whose daughter was murdered.

I remember (and miss) LaQueen and also a poster from years back called WhoMovedMyChocolate - I think she disappeared after discovering that her husband was having an affair? Does anyone know what happened to her?

@CrowdedHouseinQuarantine. Is this true? I knew the person who went to the rescue and I know the whole situation became rather problematic, but we lost touch a few years ago.

God, I remember one poster fled from DV, and was picked up by a MN, to help her escape the 'D'H.

She got absolutely slated for going to the rescue of a stranger on MN.

Kungfupanda is someone I haven't seen around for a while. She was having a daily morning standoff with a car driver down a narrow country road as far as I remember (oh crumbs, maybe she's still there!)

YgritteSnow oh yes, UnlikelyAmazonian. She got banned (not for trolling, but I can't remember why) and then sadly her little boy became ill. There was a bit of a campaign for MNHQ to allow her back for support, I think she posted once or twice but I don't remember seeing her again after that.

I really hope her DS recovered.

Also, Yunoyurbubshon, aside from having a funny username always struck me as a good person.

It was Zombie who went to the rescue.

There was an awful lot that went on behind the scenes and Zombie was adamant it was genuine and she went to the aid of a person in need - reading between the lines the "need" may have been different to what the poster initially posted and what Zombie went to help with.

I remember being genuinely terrified that Zombie had put herself in danger. Luckily I was one a few people who had her mobile so could check in and found out she was incredibly cross with MNers for the drama.

Thanks @NoWordForFluffy I "knew" Zombie on FB and was sadly aware of that, but there was another big night time rescue by another couple of posters and that was what confused me.

Laqueen was hilarious! I always think this was her place to be who she really wanted to be. Nobody could be that bad irl.

I was thinking about another forum of old the other day and a woman called CarolAnn who caused all sorts of trouble, does anyone remember?

Didn't whomovedmychocolate find a graveyard in her garden? Then later when they moved her new house had a secret room in it?

I don't know about her husband, but I hope she's well anyway -she sent me clothes when I was pregnant!

Who was the poster who sold pies on a market stall and had a surprise late baby when her other kids were grown up that turned out to have Down syndrome and needed heart surgery? I remember seeing her around a lot at the time but I can't think what her username was.

I’m still in contact with WhoMoved on Facebook (we were on the Paul McKenna hypnotise yourself thin threads. Didn’t work in my case). She seems fine and has cute kids.

Does anyone remember the poster who claimed that she had had her DS at uni without knowing she was pregnant? She even posted a photo of herself dressed as a cheerleader when she was allegedly seven months pregnant. I think she was revealed to be making it up. I always wondered what happened to her!

Aww thanks for the mentions guys. Still not dead. Single, thin (keto not McKenna) one teen, one almost teen now. I am on Twitter and Instagram a lot.

There was a poster called Humphreys-something (Cushion) who was so very kind to me in a PM when I had a second trimester miscarriage. I still think of that lovely message and it was 12 years ago.

I’d never meet anyone now but did meet up with MNers pretty much willy nilly, back when dc were tiny. Lots were lovely, the odd fruitloop, still in touch with some. There was a lot of sending nice little things for the kids and passing on books. Good memories. My eldest only knows MN because it gets slated on SM for trans stuff, he is horrified that I used to have friends from here. Had to explain it just wasn’t a thing back then, it really was just breastfeeding and slings and funny threads

I did a deep dive on COD’s twitter account the other day, one of her tweets had been liked and come up in my timeline. Fairly sure Cod isn’t here much so I feel ok saying her humour hasn’t translated well into tweets, sad really. She was a strange one.
