I was wondering today about a few old posters that either left or I haven’t seen in ages
Riven , eatshitderek (i think that’s what the username was) and another one I can’t remember the full name ghost something who was in temp accommodation I think ?
Does anyone else ever wonder about posters they dont see anymore

I feel like CheerfulYank was recently active on some of the threads about coronavirus in the US? Might be mistaken though

The downside of namechanging regularly is that sometimes posters don't get the acknowledgment they deserve for their spot on advice.
I do get a bit eye rolly when I see a 'name ' give advice someone else posted 3 pages earlier but people go "oh wankchops you're sooooo right as always"

I think ghostspirit is the one people are thinking of who was in temporary accommodation. She had a partner who appeared to be a complete waste of space.

I used to really like Sonlypuppyfat, I've not seen her in ages

I don't know who anyone is anymore. I don't even pay attention to names as it's pointless.

I haven't NC for a while but I'm not that active these days. I discovered tiktok (watching, not doing - so many dancing animals and embarrassing parents, it's a nice distraction from the world right now 😂)

There's probably a poster called wankchops who I have now inadvertently offended

I remember Maryz well. She has been on here in the last couple of years under a slightly different name asking for advice RE her husband. He left her for another woman and was threatening to cut her off financially

The only thing I remember about lequeen was that she had stairs going into her kitchen. And the "benign neglect" thread

I used to mix in my head stripeymama and spidermama. Pretty different lives!

Another one for eatshitderek and Mrsdevere, I remember her beautiful posts about her daughter who passed away as a teenager. Haven't seen her around for a while.

Like others, I hope Trinity and her girls are ok.

Hecate was genuinely kind and helpful, I hope she just namechanged and is still around helping others. Ditto Pagwatch.

LaQ was an amazing Walter Mitty-esque character, I always assumed there was an element of fabrication but I missed a lot of the worst of It, apparently she got a bit carried away at times. However if even half the stuff she posted about her DH were true I'm sure she can't have been as blissfully happy as she claimed to be.

I know Hully was a divisive character, lots of people really seemed to hate her, but she came out with some of the best one-liners I saw on MN. Also, she was the only person to stand up for the poster who ended up causing a multiple-thread shitstorm about the phrase 'mad as a box of frogs'.

I think Mrsdevere is here still, I read a post that I'm sure was by her the other day now you've put the idea in my head.

Spidermama was a radio chat show host iirc? She was a proper wordsmith [heart eyes].

MrsDeVere is still here? I'd love to know what happened with the neighbours who built a 'Gymbalow'' in their back garden and rented it out. I really hope they got their come-upppance, but I doubt it

Does anyone know how ghostspirit is doing? Last I heard she had twins and 2/3 other kids in temporary accommodation. She was trying to work out how to wear 2x slings to carry the twins and she’d had to give up the dog. It all sounded so very hard.
