Old posters you sometimes think of

I was wondering today about a few old posters that either left or I haven’t seen in ages
Riven , eatshitderek (i think that’s what the username was) and another one I can’t remember the full name ghost something who was in temp accommodation I think ?
Does anyone else ever wonder about posters they dont see anymore

I was pretty sure that M was a troll but I always felt sorry for sadwidow - I remember reading some of her posts on other threads and feeling sorry for her. Hope she's okay - or maybe that wasn't true either!

GetOrMyLand was properly funny. Bit of Fun was funny too

Mrs Devere was such a thoughtful, kind poster.

Xenia infuriated me but I respected her. I think she just struggled with the fact that not everyone is motivated by status or money.

I hope Riven is ok. She pops into my thoughts every now and then.

I remember trifleorbust - very authoritarian teacher who used to post on all the school threads. I was fairly new to MN at the time and hers was one of the first names I started to recognise. I'd read an OP about children or schools and could immediately guess what trifle's response was going to be.

I'm hopeless at remembering names but recognise all of these!

Who was the poster who had a live brith thread some years ago but ended up being 4 live birth threads? I think she owned a book shop.

I often think of RedStripeLassie and hope she managed to sort out her life and get away from her DH for the sake of the children.

I was Bucharest for many years, then DrankSangriaInThePark for a fair few. I joined in 2004. I was on the NYE spin off group for a few years. I live in Italy.

I’ve been on here since 2014 so am still relatively “new” but remember a name about “.......moor bah twat” think it may have been ilkley Moore. I have no clue why that name has stuck in my head.

I remember artandco saying she was a top flight lawyer

I also got a bit too involved in the David/Caroline saga and remember the drama of all that coming out.

I used to remember a poster called something like “nannyofgg” who was quite controversial.

In case that jogs your memory as to who I remind you of.

I was never in AC.

I was once in Atrocious Cunts, not for a few years. No idea if it's still going.

Psammead- she was a British poster living in Germany, haven't seen her around for years, shame as she came across so funny and warm.

Recognise the names of most posters mentioned as I've been here since God knows when.
Don't miss some of them though, the clique vibe and fawning over some was cringeworthy sometimes.

LRD and hulababy are still around, just name changed

I think LaQueen was around for a while after the big hoo-ha but much subdued and mainly on the quieter boards like S&B.

I did not know about Artandco being a fake. Stunned by that, I know I definitely rose to the goad on a few occasions. Silly me.

agree, the fawning over some posters was ridiculous and unnecessary.

If I consider that posters on a mammy forum must have serious mental health problems going on to post photographs on the internet of another poster's children (and criticising their appearance too) her house and various other things, I'll continue to say so.

Yes I’ve def seen Xenia recently. I’m still a bit shocked finding out that mrsdevere was banned she was so lovely

I wasn't at all keen on LeQueen/LaQueen, she just seemed far too unbelievable and fond of herself. Interesting to hear she was a closet mean girl

@CrowdedHouseinQuarantine so true. By name changing every week i sometimes get tightly wound vipers attacking everything i say for SPORT, and the people who are Big Names avoid that!!

LQ showed her real true colours on one of the spin-off groups where there was no HQ.

And now apparently I'm her! Who knew! I'll tell my Italian dp I'm really a beautician not a teacher and he faked his qualifications because I'm sure he's not aware.

Ok, we could go around in circles rehashing our versions of the past.

However. One point. She posted pictures herself, publicly (and continues to on social media), to big herself up pull others down - repeatedly.

Her children were never mocked, it was a repeated unfounded accusation. Her house, her husband, her job - yep they were mocked because she made out she was so much better than others, when in fact she was just a normal mum with a perfectly normal life pretending to be something else to belittle and ridicule others.

But yeah, anyone who called her out was mentally unstable.

I think the ghost one was it not something to do with ghosts and sheets?

Yes you're right - there is/was another poster called GordysLoveSheep that I would sometimes misread as GhostysLoveSheets. I don't remember what the actual ghost username was though.
