I was wondering today about a few old posters that either left or I haven’t seen in ages
Riven , eatshitderek (i think that’s what the username was) and another one I can’t remember the full name ghost something who was in temp accommodation I think ?
Does anyone else ever wonder about posters they dont see anymore

I came on here to say Riven. I thought about her the other day when I read a post from an OP who is really struggling with their severely disabled child and almost wanted to warn her to not say too much because when Riven posted as much MN’ers took it into their hands to go to the press and she was hounded after that.

Cod is around on twitter.

Misdee is around although don’t think she posts much. But I tagged her recently in a post about heart transplantation as I was around when her DH went through his transplant and now I am in the same position of needing one.. And she came on to the thread and replied fairly quickly.

TDWP was a known troll although she kept being banned and reinstated. And aside from that she was a thoroughly unpleasant individual.

The best way to find Bertrand is to start a private vs state school thread.

@Xenia is still here. Bertrand has probably NC. I remember more than one thread where they had NC fails

Add in a bit about religion to the state v private and Bert will be on it like me with a tub of Cherry Garcia.

I was just thinking about talcandturnips yesterday ( I used to love our user name anagram threads) and wandered onto MN for the first time in ages and found this thread. Loads of memories here.
Has anyone mentioned Psammead who lived in Switzerland.
And also who was the poster who had a children’s bookshop who had a live birth thread.

I remember all of the above too. I remember when I first joined many years ago, Seeing the same names over and over.

I have a few friends on Facebook that came from Mumsnet but I'm buggered if I remember what their usernames were or if indeed they are still on 😀.

BadoomTish was another one, every time I saw her name I made the sound in my head IFKWIM?

Anyway, I drop in and out and am more of a lurker than a poster, but I still like to see posters who were here when I started popping up.

She loved Elemis Marine Cream and hair turbans. She had worked for Russell and Bromley when younger. think she suffered from depression. She had no children.
She seemed lovely.

Lots of you must remember Cupofteaplease, whose baby was born with severe disabilities and died aged about a year, I think. It was terribly sad, and she and her DH split up afterwards.

Oh and a shout out to the lovely Nobdie quiche.

Maryz was banned because of something she said on the Feminism boards. I'm not sure what but I would put my house on it being true and reasonable. She had all her posts withdrawn a few months beforehand but that wasn't connected with the banning - that was her choice.

Maryz. Great poster, banned on a parenting site because she didn't buy the ideology that "transwomen are women".

None of the good, caring, normal originals will be on the new spin-off site. That place is full of racism (even thought they claim not to be - full of Tommy Robinson supporters though - have a look at the BLM, Nigel Farage and Justine Roberts/Mumsnet thread and make your own mind up)

In my mind, Marmalade/Bupcakes/Reality/Bluntness are all the same poster.

Marmalade and Bupcakes were the same person, openly so.

Last I saw of her, on social media earlier this year, still wonderfully bonkers and lovely.

Another I see on social media is MrsDevere, again a truly lovely human who appears to be happy and settled.

BitofFun pops up on a Facebook group I'm in from time to time, I know she had a health scare but I'm not sure how she is now. Hopefully all is well.

Stratters/SarahStratton was banned from MN for robustly poking/questioning Justine using a cockroach metaphor to describe users of AdBlockers. She has been of very ill health but my knowledge is a few years out of date.

EatShitDerek is a controversial one, there was some debate as to the truth behind her unexpected pregnancy and subsequent hacking. She is real, just some are a bit unsure with whether she was embellishing or not.

MardyBra I was about to mention Psammead and also PacificDogwood. I think they both had some connection with Germany, where I was living at the time, so I always noticed their names.

Years ago I realised I knew Kew IRL. Haven't spoken to her in a while but as far as I'm aware she's doing fine.

LaQueen seemed harmless on the surface but was actually a nasty piece of work who would put people down just to make herself feel better.

She wrote her perfectly normal life with a Mills and Boon rose tint, was a huge and unpleasant snob and so desperately wanted to appear better than everyone else.

Does anyone else remember sadwidow? There were a few threads she was very heavily involved in about 5 years ago - in one she was coordinating help packages for an OP - what was described as a begging thread at the time. I think MNHQ intervened at the time as they felt she was overinvested but I always wondered if she was okay.

Definitely feminism/trans that got Maryz banned and she was definitely not bring unreasonable.

I think the ghost one was it not something to do with ghosts and sheets? I vaguely remember the last thread I read from someone with that username and weren’t they torn to shreds for having lots of kids and no proper accommodation and a useless OH? Or have I just made that up?

LaQueen got banned for sending deeply unpleasant PMs, repeatedly. Not PMs that were replies, unsolicited PMs.

She then came back under various guises and continued to be deeply unpleasant. She got repeated bans for PBP.

I know this for a fact.
