Pkay so I am currently reading a book and one of the characters is in my head played by an actor I have seen in things but cannot for the life if me think what Injave actually seen him in.

He looks a bit like John Shea or William Defoe, but he is English and had dark curly ish hair.

Please help me. It's been driving me mad for days. I have finished the book and I still cant get it out of my head.

OMG @theluckiest. You have it.

I can sleep tonight now.

But before I do, I can recommend Blood Orange. Its a great book, although a little contrived and convenient at the very end

Cross post!

VenusInfers · 08/06/2020 21:58

Damn, @theluckiest I was going to say Paul Ready! Met him when I was working at Bristol Old Vic many moons ago - what a lovely chap!

I have nothing else to offer. Grin

VenusInfers · 08/06/2020 21:58

Wow! Cross post! Yay! (high fives @theluckiest)

Janus · 08/06/2020 22:08

Motherland! He’s fantastic!

DappledThings · 08/06/2020 22:12

OMG @theluckiest. You have it.
Ah, Paul Ready. Became the latest actor to appear in my little bit of SE London just before I left. Was quite pleased to add him to the list.

TravellingSpoon · 08/06/2020 22:13

Yes! Motherland! Maybe that's why I thought of him as the character is a bit of a disney dad.

EinsteinaGogo · 08/06/2020 22:16

He was so brilliant in Motherland.

@theluckiest - you need to join CID to have come up with the right answer from OP's original descriptions 😂😂😂😂

theluckiest · 08/06/2020 22:25

Hooray!!! I'm ridiculously happy. Yay!

I've known him since we were teenagers and can confirm he is a very lovely man. Brilliant actor too. Smile

theluckiest · 08/06/2020 22:27

And @EinsteinaGogo I'd love to be in CID. But I have been watching too much Line of Duty recently Grin

backseatcookers · 08/06/2020 22:29

Oh thank god! This NEVER happens, I'm so happy - I was settling in to check this thread for days before hiding it out of frustration at no resolution 😂

Eckhart · 08/06/2020 22:32

@backseatcookers I was very invested too. I have no idea why!

DukeOfEarlGrey · 08/06/2020 22:40

Oh, shame - does this mean the end of the catalogue of handsome thesps? Only I wanted to leave a gratuitous picture of Toby Stephens here.

wasnotwasweregood · 08/06/2020 22:42

Toby Stephens is what you get if somebody snuck a wig and some brow pomade on Damien Lewis.

DressingGownofDoom · 09/06/2020 01:09

He couldn't look less like William Dafoe Grin
